The brace that sits inbetween the servo and battery has two mounting positions, I run it in the rear position, with the battery all the way forward, so about 3/4" of foam or so behind the battery.
This is how I run mine too. Maximum rear traction this way for me then made a few changes to get steering back.

Weight,7g up front and 20* plastic kickup with 5* caster then raised spindles/lowered chassis.
Last, HRC 3.5 toe block.
Haven't changed my car in weeks between 2 indoor clay tracks, 1 with slightly higher traction than the other.

More details on this new track? Indoor/Outoor? City?

I've been running mine on two different all-clay indoor tracks and still think that running rear transmission setup is the best.

Traction is outrageous on clay!

Evans isn't running a short battery this weekend at the shootout. I wonder if Orion is going to make a shorty pack?

When I purchased the 22 I also purchased the Xcelorin "shorty" pack and to be honest I am not too happy with it. It's nice for the first 3-4 laps but then it changes too much. I've since been using the traditional stick packs with ~5-6K mahs and have been much more consistent.

I've heard that Xcelorin is preparing to release in the near future a "shorty" pack with a significantly higher mah is that true?

I don't doubt it, the KOKAM cells are great. The reason I ask is because I think the benefit of the shorty pack is light weight, not that it's short.

Sure about that? I just checked Live RC, there was only results up for A1 (which Dustin did win), they're racing triple A's.

I wonder why this is? The car is full of adjustments. You can always take steering out of a car.
