Ouch! $40 for aluminum carriers and steering spindles. It would nearly be the same as the price of the kit to have the 0, 3, 5 and 10 degree blocks in your pitbox along with the trailing and inline spindles in aluminum. I will stick to the plastic!!

I see the benefit in some of the aluminum or brass option parts but others are overkill and damn expensive.

Thanks Casper,

So how's your 22 setup comin around.
Been gettin enough track time to get it to your liking?

Tips to share?

I have heard that the front lug nuts needs a tiny bit of lock tite to help keep em on.
Great to prethread the ball cups with a screw that has a dremmeled groove thru the threads, like used to be supplied in the old Losi kits, and for the reverse threaded side, dremmel an old camberlink the same way.

Any build tips you guys can share to help us along the way would be nice.

Yeah getting the ball cups started is no fun. Use a body reamer to open up the opening a little and this helps get them started. Once they start they go on pretty good.

The kit goes together pretty easy. It is not a hard build.

Setup is coming along. finally got some real time to play with it on sunday and got the car pretty darn good. I think a little more time and some more tweaks and it will be awesome. Really impressed with how well the car is reacting to changes so far.

Yeah thread lock on the front nuts is a must. I put a fair amount on since I take the tires off all the time it left more residule to help keep things stuck for a while.

Car is fun to drive but nothing like the XXXCR.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed but several setup sheets are now on the TLRacing.com site. This includes the Dustin Evans, Reedy setup and Mid motor setups from the UK chaps.

It also looks like some of the hop-ups won't be in for quite a while (end of July) like the brass weight kit (TLR4151).

Ok, so good news it appears.

I called horizon up today about my order, just asking about how they were shipping all of the preorders out (regionally or not) and that some guys who preordered a week ago have had theirs shipped out, while others who ordered months ago haven't yet. He put me on hold and when he came back he said they had them and got mine to get shipped out tomorrow. I think that perhaps the order in which all of the preorders are being filled may have been messed up. I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago, but I know there are guys who ordered before that. I would encourage all of you to call them up and see what's up, especially if you preordered long in advance and it hasn't shipped yet.

In this age of technology, computers, and emails, sometimes people forget that actually talking to people is the best way! Computers have glitches, but usually talking to someone there won't be the same kind of mistakes.

I am super excited to get my get though!

Thanks, ordering an already expensive $25 weight kit for $33 after currency conversion and add on shipping to the west coast is a bit too much. Maybe I can rig something together with leadin the mean time that won't cause any perminent damage to the car. Who knows I may not like the mid set up and go to rear.
