So where does the March 20th date come from? All I've seen so far has been "late march" and March 5 on amain.

March 20th I beleive the date that Horizon is supposed to get them...from there they will be shipped to shops across the country...that is why you also see late march and the 25th on Amain.

Default Mid Engine looks good

I believe Frank Root TQ'd the first round of the JBRL with the mid engine set up and it looked like it was on rails. Against some very good competition.

Didn't stay for the mains so don't know what happen, but it was very impressive.

Honestly after watching it run mid-engine on an outdoor rough track, just about sold me.

mid motor May be the way to go for rough outdoor tracks. I want to see how they do indoors.

So what extra is needed to have both configurations for rear and mid if you wanted to switch back and forth ?

Basically a whole rear end: shocks, arms, hubs, driveshafts, etc

It was my understanding that mid-motor was the way to go for high traction surfaces like in Europe where they race on carpet, astro turf, or here in the US on high bite indoor clay. So you guys are saying it does well on rough outdoor? If that's the case then it seems like mid-motor should be the preferred setup for every track.

The rear motor config will provide more traction than the mid. & rear should also be better for outdoor tracks. The reason why the euro cars a mid or inboard is to help free up the cars on super high bite surfaces such as astro turf, grass etc.
