I recommend them, its the best of all worlds. First off you get quality parts made in America by a lover of RC Cars
( TLR) next you get the durability and strength with zero binding.
Then placement of added weight is Optimal. And for the price you have enough left over for some Tires... or Beer.

Any plans for an updated kit? With the new springs and some of the parts that have been tested? Tyler's 22 is an original from its first debut and is ready for a new kit and didn't want to order a kit then a month later have an updated kit released.

TIA

purchasing a TLR 22 with all TLR aluminum hop ups wednesday. Pretty excited to say the least!

Going to run it how it sits and see how I like the setup. I will revert to box stock and go from there if I find I indeed do not like it.

I've gotten a couple different answers from people... What's the benefit of drilling holes in your tires?

When I get mine built I'm going to need some new lipos. What do y'all prefer the shorties or regular sizes in this buggy? Also what brand? My motor and ESC setup will be the Tekin RS gen2 with tekin gen2 redline 8.5t.
Thanks for the help.

Well the 22 is very durable out of the box. Some guys like certain aluminum parts for weight. That said, if this car you are going to get actually has all the aluminum parts, then it will be way too heavy.

The benifit is the same for any other vehicle. In short, not a question for the 22 thread. Also, if you do try to drill holes in the tires, please make sure to film it and post it on YouTube.

The only shorty I found from Orion was the 1s Carbon Pro 6400mah 90c 3.7v. Is that what your running frank? Also what is the run time on a 1s pack is it enough to finish a race? Sorry might be dumb but have been out of the hobby for awhile and when I left lipos where only offered in regular size not shorty.

These are really nice batteries also.

There are other kinds that work great also.

You are looking for a 2S battery. I recommend the Venom but Orion makes a great pack as well.

I saw that really like it and will probably add it to the collection along with the venom posted above and a reedy and out of those I figure which I like best and get more of it.
