Default Exotek Rack

I know alot of you guys are asking is the Exotek rack worth it? I personally don't race as often as most of you but I do replace my stock rack once or twice a season due to slop. I think the Exotek will give you that new rack feel the whole season and then some, depending on the bearings life span of course. Only time will tell us that. So I think it's a big plus to have the constant steering geometry over a longer period of time rather than having to install a new rack as the old one gets sloppier and sloppier.

bearings are $1 ea on most sites (avid) so $4 for bearings that should last most people 6 months to a year depending on track conditions. Bearings are easy to clean yourself also.

to me it was worth it now that I have the rack installed and have been running it..

On a side note:
Casper saw you running at Pegasus on Saturday, truck looked good.

Ran my 22 for the first time on Saturday. Ran it bone stock on indoor clay. I liked it a lot. Very fun to drive. The last 2wd buggy I had was FT B4 (a few years ago) and I like this one better.

My next step is to try out the D. Evans Reedy Race setup, which a lot of drivers seem to like.

Thanks. 22T was good all day. I just wish I was able to do a little better with qualifying in the SC classes. I was on pace with the front of field according to lap times in the mains just started too far back. Trucks were all very good and Pegasus track was amazing all day. What a turnaround they have done with thier dirt.

Matt works on that track 10 to 12 hours a day! He spends a lot of the time off the clock.

He is a good dude man!

SCT looked good also but the Stadium Trucks seems to love Pegasus.

273 Entries!! That was a lot of racing!!!

For those who are using the Exotek rack, are you installing some sort of servo saver? I know the stock setup doesn't have one, but isn't the stock rack sort of the sacrificial part in the whole steering? Seems the Exotek makes everything slop free, but you lose the stock parts that will essentially break and save the servo. Seems $6 for a stock rack isn't bad seeing has how much we spend on tires, wheels, bodies throughout the year.

Run the plastic servo arm if you want a weak link in the steering. They will split and save the servo. I've been running the exotek steering for three races now with the alloy servo arm with a savox 1257 no problems.

No shims all the way forward, the servo mounts on the back side of the mounts with the exotek setup.
