lol, I take a dremel to all of my cars. They seem to like it. lol. I think there are a few other brands that require a little modding to get the servo to work right. I thought I read that others needed clearance on the right side as well. I wanna say spekrum or savox.

it could be. My front brace is about 8 months old.

Frank/Casper and everyone else....
What's your opinion on the aluminium idler gear? Longer use? Worth it?

Personally never had an issue with tearing one up. We don't run mod though (17.5 only) and I am very picky about maintaining the tranny. Even after a couple months of use, I see minimal wear when I replace the idler gear.

I've run my 22 converted into a sprint car, with a 4.5 bolted in. Stock idlers, mid motor case. Zero issues with idlers blowing out. Had so much grip we were pulling wheelies with the 4.5 and full timing ramp on a Tekin RS Pro. Had wires unsoldering from the motor, and motor meltdown issues instead...lol

Idler issues tend to only be with the 22SCT. The heavy car with large tires puts the most stress on the tranny.

question on the 22 shocks, is the majority still cutting the center of the bladders and running them as an emulsion shock or leaving them as is. I know when I ran the 22t i cut the bladders and it made the truck much better.

Emulsion and 1.6mm 2 hole pistons
They make a new external o ring... no more o ring inside and run the 2 hole 1.6mm shock pistons

^^ so then you just use the normal plastic sliders?
Good idea, since changing just the slider is super easy.
