I had the best luck running the horn 90* not a tooth off. Then adjust steering link to center the slider in the rack. Adjust steering links accordingly. Your radio settings wll be maxed out, just set epa"s so your throw is the same left to right. I did have more throw after switching from Futaba to Airtronics.

It appears you are dealing with a Savox issue. I had the exact same problem. I had a Futaba BLS451 that fit perfectly no issues, but when I put in a Savox 1257 I found it hit the edge of the steering rack. I ended up trimming the edge of the rack and the problem went away. I compared both servos and found the Savox was positioned a bit differently than the Futaba. I am not sure if the Savox 1251 has the same issue, but it's worth taking a closer look.

+1. BLS451. I have been braving the BLS551 stubby with success so far this season . . .

Any ways to increase pack without 2-hole pistons? I'm having trouble making them lol.

You have a couple of options;

1. Buy the AE 12mm piston set, which is about $4

2. Use a smaller hole TLR piston, 56's or 57's will have more pack than the 55's.

3. Buy the Avid 1.6 2 hole pistons, about $16. They work perfect, I have a set of them.

+.75 hexes should make the car more stable. Just think of the old Pontiac Grand Prix commercials wider is better!!

If you are thinking of trying the Avid pistons I would recommend the 2+2 pistons. They are 4 hole pistons with 2 1.5 holes and 2 1.1 holes. It creates the same pack as the 2 x 1.6 pistons with fast movement like landing a jump. With slower movement while cornering they are a lot smoother.

My son in law just got one of the infamous Trinity 3.5 stock motors. Anyone have a recommendation for gearing in a TLR 22?

The 2 hole pistons really make the car land better off of larger jumps. They are worth the effort to make them. If they fit right, it looks like AVID makes the pistons you are looking for. They seem to have a 2 hole 1.6mm pistons.
