FYI
For those who would like to display their Avante 2011 NIB (New In Blister)
The material used for the blister pack is very thin & fragile, especially around the motor. I checked 3 boxes at my LHS, all 3 had cracked blisters
The initial release all come with the "bonus parts", 4 modern dish type Tamiya off road rims. The aluminium clamp type wheel hexes are anodised black.
Will probably start buidling the car after I get the Avante 2011 Titanium parts (part no. 84199)

I bet this new one can perform thou, they have updated it so much
I wouldnt doubt it was track tested.
I heard on the original the front end was really fragile.
Hats off to Tamiya thou for re-releasing the classics.

It would be very interesting to see how the new Avante handles with all the updated reinforcements. With a descent brushless/lipo setup I'm pretty sure it will put up a fight with the new kids on the block.

Yup the Avante has arrived upon the shores of Singapore and the price is reasonable. The kit looks awesome. Anyone interested to get hold of one, feel free to pm me for details. I'll be more than happy to help anyone looking to get this awesome kit...

Yup, the temptation was too hard to resist
Still holding out for the titanium screw kit, hope it arrives soon I don't like to build the car twice.
Replacing the stock steel ball connectors with blue aluminum ones for some added bling, found some freebie Tamiya 3x18mm Titanium turnbuckles for the front shock brace.
Cheers
