I just purchased the JConcepts spur. Its round..... Unlike the AE. They suk! I use the Losi pinions they are the quietest I have found. Use the upgraded slipper pads to. It makes the spur more stable to the center of the gear as well and absorbs a lot of noise as well. It takes away from the cooling vents in the JC spur though.

I put all my shims in the tranny on the gear side. You'll be shocked at first but a after run it loosens up and you will love how much longer the diff gears last. And its quieter. Smoother acceleration gear to gear.

whats up guys, im a total rc rookie and i have been driving a losi sct 2wd for the last year and i am kinda over the trucks. i can get a b44.1 kit through a buddy for a good deal. i know nothing about setting these things up, moto/esc, servo etc.. i am just a backyard type of driver and want to do this as cheap as possible as im not a serious racer and just want reliable fun. any of you guys got any advise? thanx all........

Motor heatsinks or cooling systems

A question for all the guys racing the B44.1, does any body run any sort of cooling system on their motor. If so is the LRP 1/10 system a good one. Going to run an LRP SXX TC SPEC V2 with V X12 6.5T, contemplating to spend money on a second V X12 7.5T or spend that money on some spares and a cooling system, for the motor.

I run a 1o.5 Sonic, I would run a fan on the ESC with a 6.5. But no one at our track does. Geared 18/81. medium size high bite track. And that ESC rox! I'm sold on the LRP speedo's. Novak and Tekin were fine but I have never been let down with my LRP's.

The B44 is a great ground pounder in a controlled environment like a track. On the streets and skate parks its not as great. It will need heavier oil and stronger springs. Take it to the hobby shop and buy the strongest steering servo you can afford but I would go cheep on the rest. If your just planning to bash it.

I had good luck with my b44.1 19/81 and an lrp x12 6.5 this summer using the Sxx tc v2 with a fan. I recently sold the TC spec and went to the comp(no fan or sinks) after hearing the tc spec doesnt like the off road abuse so much. apparently a board in the esc can come loose off road.
Anyways I probably have twenty something batts through my current comp/6.5 setup.
Never had an issue.
Yes, the 6.5 and my lil sxx comp get hot. But I just try to run for as long as necessary(the length of mains or quals)
I have had no problem doin wheelies down the straight with this current setup(thoguh my diffs hate when i drive like that.)
This lrp stuff will run hot. Vent the body. My Bull dog has holes tons of holes.

Def not going to the skatepark or anything like that, if I do I have a 2wd sct for that but me and a few buddies have backyard tracks. By strongest servo what exactly do you mean? I have seen standard and quick type servos? Thanx for the help I really appreciate it and look fwd to hearing some more advise.

Has anyone found a good losi spring set up for the 44.1 on a small tight track? Im guessing green fr and either yellow or white rr.Thnx

Alright, I really like my B44.1, but the shocks are driving me nuts....They just feel like crap compared to all the other cars i have owned/driven. What are the alternatives for other shocks that fit and work well?

Sounds like fun. LRP 1015 is what I run. Its fast and lots of torque. Get some thing with metal gears and a high torque rating. And at least .13 speed.

UPDATE: Punisher lid, cut out the four front vent options and trimmed the back out but left some for strength. 20 degree drop in temp. Gotta love it. Geared up a tooth as well.

Are there any options available for this platform to reduce the weight at all? I am using a B44 platform in a dirt oval application and would really like to reduce the overall weight if possible. Thanks in advance..

Great car by the way :)
