No issues here, and maybe you should check the B44 thread an not the B44.1 thread. I not sure if there is any difference steering components between the two but its worth a shot!

Kyosho bigs... I was talking about the big bore shocks all the kyo guys have been going nuts over. I got them for my rbi and tried them on my 44.1 and hated it with the recommended springs for the rb5 (pink front red rear) got a set for them with either yellow or gold all the way around and they are great just as good as the ae ones in handling but no slap now.

there is no difference in the parts. only changes were the top plate, the chassis, front tower, rear hubs, motor mount and shocks.

If you mean that you have one of your front wheels turn too far and then won't turn back straight, yes I had that happen.

If the car has some time on it, replace the spindles and caster blocks. They both wear a bit and will allow just a little too much travel.

You might need to reduce your toe out a little too.

Now I run the Orion R10 ESC and a Orion Vortex 7.5 and it needs neither a fan or vents in the body.

BINGO! If you create an entrance, you also need to create an exit. I have the two larger scoops cut out, five large holes on the small vertical section behind the windows and the majority of the rear vertical section of the body removed. Temps of my LRP 8.5 geared 21/81 after 5 minutes is 150-152 and the R10 is only warm to the touch.

Not sure if it matters? But I never had this trouble, but I have seen it. The new kit the servo is more to the center. You think it may have fix that? If I am right it only does it when you turn one certain direction. Also the .1 the steering block fit was perfect. The original had to be shaved to squeeze into the hub. I have always ran .5 degree toe so maybe that's why I never had an issue?

Hello, trying to make a decision of getting the b44 or b44.1

What are the differences from the people who have them?

Ive done some reading and read different things about what one has and what one doesnt, quite frankly im confused!

B44.1. It has all the performance must haves vs. the B44. And there are some changes to the chassis that allow for better fit of the new style of lids.

Thank you.

Also can you only run saddle packs with these?

I would like to know about motor and esc as well. I'm not planning on racing events or anything with this. I just want something that is super fast when I feel the need. I'm the kinda guy that likes ton of power when I want it and when I don't I can power back or just use a lighter finger!

I have a sv2 castle esc as well as the 1406 4600kv castle motor. But I'm thinking more kv for faster?

But will be hitting local tracks to run with friends etc.

Thanks again for your time so far.

Yep you will need saddle packs. I'm running the Reedy 5200 60A. Perfect fit. On the horse power Q if you get a 7.5 you should be set for most any track. I don't know much about the KV ratings. I can tell ya a 4.5 is tilt tilt ding ding fast.. LOL. your heart will be racing as fast as the kit. I have been running the 10.5 for about 3 years of 4x4. And the diffs, gears and slipper last longer. It wont make you grin ear to ear with blazing speed but it is a grin none the less...lol.

2 questins:

1) Do you guys run the lexan undertray on the car or just use that chassis tape that AE and J Concepts sell? Do you find that the car bottoms out too much. Just picked up a 44.1 in a trade.
2) Are b4.1 and b44.1 rear arms the same??

Thanks.
