I hit the local track this weekend and noticed they finally had enough people for a 1/10 4WD class. Since I'm an associated guy, I'm looking at the B44.1. I had never seen these run before. In the past weeks, I had watched the B4 class until I saw these run.
My question is, I don't know anything about these. Looks like people are mostly running 6XXX and 7XXXkv motors. This is one of my biggest dilemmas. For the people in the 1/8th scale class as well as these. Is the 6XXX like the 1900kv while the 7XXX is like a 2050 or a 2200kv? Or am I totally off base here. I run a 2050 Tekin in the 1/8th class. I guess I'm looking for something that can handle 2-3S. I'll probably go with the same XP DS1015 servo for steering. Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks, |

They are two different sizes for two different applications, so its hard to campare six and seven thousands kv is a lot of motor. I would suggest just running what they do. Look at the winners stuff and base yours off of it.

Ball Cups
Anyone having any issues with Ball Cups popping/breaking off? Is there a fix? I've tried new Ball Cups no change. The ball joint isn't worn out, still has black coating on it. Loving the buggy so far, just very fragile. You should be able to crash this thing with out it breaking or popping off a ball cup.

I don't think there's too much of a difference for me to switch up my B44 for a B44.1, but anything to kick this class in the butt to get it more popular gets a thumbs up from me...

Is anyone racing with big bore shocks? If so, which ones and how did you get them to fit?
I can't believe that Associated didn't bring this out with them standard. |

Thanks, I run a 8.5 motor and it seems to be plenty of motor. Some of the better drivers run a 7.5 and 6.5 motor, but Ive found the 8.5 works well for me. it has more power than I can use I run it at 85% throttle and have been getting faster and faster with this setup. |
I run a Tekin 7.5 with a RS Pro with 25 timing boost.

Thanks for the reply guys, Im pretty set on going with a 6.5. and I might buy an 8.5 to switch between. both of those motors seem like the middle of the road. I saw a guy with a SC yesterday with a 4.5 in it, that thing was mad. Chasing my RC8Be around, and I have a 2050Kv in that.
