I'm running the V1, I know the V2 is upgradable, but not sure how but I'm sure some of the LRP guys can chime in on that part.

I just purchased a used B44 roller and am installing a Viper VTX10R ESC with a Viper 6.5 turn motor. It has an 81 tooth spur in it and I'm looking for a good starting point with pinion size. I'm thinking 19 tooth, does that soung like a good starting point? Thanks for any help you can offer.

We run 21/81 with an 8.5, so 19 should be pretty close.

Got it painted and stickered up, got the motor in it. Now just waiting on the ESC to show up.

Can pick B44.1 up for $400 whic leaves $600 for Lipo, Motor, Esc, Paint & Decals, Spare tyres. I reakon my budget for the Esc is around $200, motor $100. Can I get some tried and tested recomendations for this budget. Some choices i've seen are; LRP SXX TC Spec ESC for $219, Hobbywing XERUN-120A-1S-SD (V2.1) Brushless ESC $189 + Advanced Professional LCD Program Box $ 39 total $ 228, LRP Vector X11 4.5T Brushless Motor $89
Please I'm new to electric racing so I'm fumbling for some solid advice.

If you sign up for Tower Hobbies super saver club, you can get up to $50 off a $300 order, and get easy pay. A $367 b44.1 is now $327 and they only bill you 1/3 every 30 days. They ship when you order so you get it right away. If you look, you can also find LRP motor/esc combos on easy pay, and get $50 off those, too. For big $$ purchases, there's no other option.

You can only update the Speedo's software. You'll have to purchase the USB bridge. Part # LRP81800.

Consumables and breakables

Apart from tyres what are some other consumables or parts most likely to break, or even tuning options I should maybe look into for a season of racing. Like clutch shoes were for the nitro buggy. All going well one lipo, motor and esc should not be on the consumable list.

front arms, front shock shafts, shock caps, and mayb towers. in all retrospect, the car is relatively durable, but it will depend on your driving ability to keep the car in one piece. This list is just common stuff i have broken or seen broken. shock, diff, and cva rebuilds are always good to have as well as common parts such as spurs, pinions, spare screws, etc. hope this helps:nod:

It's the same spur as the B4.1, B4, T4 etc. I believe associated has them in that range and you should be able to find them at any major hobby shop or online store. If you're running mod I'm not sure why you'd drop to this low of a spur, but to each their own.
