Im new to the B44. I just built two of them and spent lots of time painting my bodies and undertray only to find out they dont fit my chassis. I have the regular B44 not the .1. I assume the chassis is different length? The undertray is for a 44 but the bodies are for 44.1. Suggestions?

If you use the B44 modified mounts, 5/8" screws are good and you need a 21mm spacer to bridge the gap between the mounts. Not sure on the B4 mounts. I think the modded B44 mounts work a little better since the wing mounts at least sit on the rear tower mount. The B4 mount mod just hangs off the back of the car with no vertical support. Plus you don't have to buy B4 wing mounts to do it mod, they probably aren't that much though... I posted some pics a couple pages back.
You don't have to use a battery post. Any aluminum tube with 4/40 threads or 3mm threads will do. I use a cut down 1/8 radio tray post for mine.

It seems that at least Neil Cragg had a similar modification at the worlds:

A main had the 44 for $219 a few weeks ago. I had to pick one up for indoor. It came with some updated parts. V2 slipper and .1 top deck with the front antena mount. I don't mind the old shocks so it wad a no brainer for me. By the time I put some updates on it I still won't have the price of the .1. So I'm happy..lol
