I just bought a used B44.1. The only motor I have available to put in it is a Castle 4 pole 3800. Can anyone suggest a place to start with the gearing?
Thanks! Sell the Castle, or trade it. You will roach your car with that motor. |

I'm fortunate enough to live in SoCal and see the AE guys around a lot.
Last I heard, the other AE factory guys that had not yet received their big bores, would be getting them this weekend at the Pro-Line Surf City Classic, and that it would still be several more weeks before publicly available, as the parts are trickling in slowly. I'm heading over to watch the mains of Surf City today at OC_RC. Will report back with any more updates / details I can find out. |

Thanks! Good luck! The car can be a little more tricky to learn how to set / adjust properly at first, but it's a GREAT car and a LOT of fun to drive, especially once you get the feel for pushing it and landing jumps correctly :tire: As numerous others have already stated, DON'T use that 4-pole in this car! |
in all theory, i shoulf be able to mix 30 and 40 weight oil 50/50 and get 35 right?

Yep. Just mix well and let settle so any air bubbles are gone. And it's best to use the same brand.

I'm glad I asked! I'm brand new to 4wd buggies but have been racing a B4.1 for a few months now. Can you recommend a motor for a track with lots of tight corners and a very short straight? We don't currently have a 4wd buggy class so I don't have anyone to really ask. I'm hoping to get some interest up in it.

And 20 minutes down the boulevard from there is OC_RC, another amazing indoor track. We got it so good down here in SoCal! |

Come on out! JG Are they watering on Fridays? Just wondering because AKA rebars were working well for me when it was dry but not sure what's working on the buggies when they water. |

Yes that is more precise. But can you honestly tell the difference between a 54%-46% mixture and 50-50 mixture?
