Has anyone experienced this, and if so what can i do to correct it? I have tried to bend it in the opposite direction, but it just springs back.
Anthony.
Is the actual wing bent or are your wing posts just off one setting. If it's the wing, try calling AE, see if they will send you a new one.

To eliminate the diff riser:
M4 x 12mm (or M4 x 10mm, if the 12mm screws are too long, but 12mm fit mine just fine) flat head (as opposed to button head), Quantity: 4

This is a great motor for the buggy really fast and a good amount of torque. i will post pics of the motor installed soon. May also be interested in selling the extra 2050 if anyone is interested just shoot me a pm with an offer.

If anyone's interested out there, I'm selling my RC8Be. It's in great shape.

So, I did much better on my second track run. Fixing the steering bushings made a huge improvment. I also had a guy at our track (he puts on the local races) come over and basically gave me a 30 minute driving lesson! I was very grateful and can say I made it 1 full battery without wrecking. I obviously had no clue how to drive prior to him helping me. Him helping me and me doing better has definately made me want to stick with the hobby!
I also found, I prefer driving on sand then hard packed clay. This track is literally 13 minue from my house! PERFECT for practise practise practise!

I'm not very good on hard packed clay. I'm a much better driver on loamy/loose tracks.

Hard packed sticky tracks is all I've raced on. That seems to be the norm around here. I'd like to race on a loose track though.

Blade, what buggy did you go with?

Thanks for the props on my thread, bud. I'm going back to the Losi 8ight-E 2.0. I was going to hang on to the RC8 longer, but then I came across an ad on the sale threads that caught my attention. The guy who bought my Losi last year, is selling it. So, I'm buying it back.

With the Ve8, on hard packed clay, I did a lot of traction rolling. If I was running indoor clay as a norm, I would probably run another buggy.

Oh damn, can't beat that! You miss the old lady huh? Lol! I'm looking at alternatives. The Tekno chassis for this buggy or a Mugen ECO also have my attention.

Slash, that's good news! It's not as easy as it looks. It's a long road ahead. You need to practice a lot. Closest track to me is 40 miles away, and I only have time to hit it 2-3 weekends a month.

I bought a Tekno Chassis for my buggy and just picked up a V4 RC8Te as well.

I am patently waiting for the Saddle pack chassis to come out, but at least the V4 has a slimmer design.

Yeah, I do miss that buggy. I only sold it because I needed the money back then. If I would have stuck with the RC8, I definitely would have invested in the Tekno V4 chassis. I hear very good things about the ECO. That may be my next buggy down the road. That or a Losi TEN-SCTE.

I get tired of toys fast. So I need to change something. It may be in the form of an entirely new ride

I ran my B44.1 yesterday. Nice and smooth. More of what I'm looking for out of 1/8th.

Maybe it's time for an SCT. I love those things.

Default saddle pack

What saddle pack chassis are you speaking of? I think they are more of a pain though, the tekno chassis is a sweet layout.

[QUOTE=GreggW;8904529]Thanks, if you don't have a painter, check out Hitaslice. He also shipped them from North Carolina in 2 days!

I actually like it better than 1/8th

That's mainly preference. But, we can get you headed in the right direction.

Most common are Castle Mamba Monster 1800-2200. Or Tekin RX8 T8 combo. Anywhere from 1700kv to 2050 for the track. 4S being the most popular battery size. Pinion gears range from 18T to 21T for these.[/QUOTE

From what I have been reading and trying to pry from the heads of more experienced racers it seems like everyone keeps telling me to use a higher KV motor due go being able to run higher voltge batteries while keeping the motor cool and around 30k rpm.
But it seems like your saying the lower KV motors are more popular ? And people are running 4s and keeping the motor cool at the same time?
What's the bennifet or difference between a 1700KV motor (example) vs a 2650kv motor ?
Everyone says the lower KV gives you more torque an the higher KV gives you more speed.
I would really like a straight answer if anyone can lay in down for me.
