I switched over to the Losi 56's in my b4.1. Haven't drove the car yet, but it feels super light compared to the old pistons. A friend at the track told me to run about 2.5 lighter oil to get roughly the same feel of the AE pistons.

Only thing I changed was swapped out AE#2's for Losi #56's and dropped the oil 2.5 all around. Im running 27.5F/25R.

Anyone else feel the car had much less dampening with the Losi pistons? I was under the impression Id get a bit more pack with a better fit piston.

summer racing is starting up... How much longer for these shocks? I am tired of spending money on the old ones when I know new ones are coming :(

no i feel like they make the shock have more, smoother travel. Almost like a bb kyosho shock feel. I kept same oil, losi 30r,35 front. same as 32.5 a.e and 27.5a.e.

Im putting them in the t4.1 right now, i put them in front on my b44.1 also. In the b4.1 they feel great, I'm trying stock springs tho, just to see how my car feels.

OHHH does anybody remember when we had a standard chassis? no shorty pack, pistons, springs carbon parts, I just ran a standard setup b4.1 and it was so good. I don't even know if all this new crap is making me faster, or slowing me down...

so the ae oil is a little thicker then losi?ive been running 30/27.5 losi, maybe ill try to go up 2.5 all around and see how that is

My thoughts exactly. I like to tinker too much and thankfully guys like Mike G would yell at me to leave it alone and drive.... It's funny. Just last night he was STILL giving me a hard time about BB springs/shocks and how I don't need them hahaha.

no u don't. I feel they make me slower lol, car feels lazy. I am slowly going back. Full back, stock springs. 8mm chassis is always staying on tho. I may try standard. Why not.

Ya, I ran losi oil for a while and found going up 2.5wt was about right. Felt it was a hair to light still but close.

silver/pink doesnt feel lazy at all :D

just wish i could find a front truck spring that would make it drive as good as blue/green.
green/pink reacts well on the truck, just feels like it needs stiffer up front... trying #3/32.5 :D

The Losi pistons gave me much less pack. I ran them back to back. My local track is extremely hard packed and rough indoor clay. My "go to" setup is ae 32.5 #2's in front and 27.5 #3 drilled 55 in rear. Car is always awesome jumping and landing.

I tried Losi 56 front and rear with 32.5/27.5. Car was super responsive and the shocks always feel great on the bench with Losi pistons but was bottoming out on everything slapping hard. Switched back to my old setup and it was fantastic again. I know the Losi pistons will work better on a smoother track.

The T4 is a diff story, I always run the Losi's!

Try those greens on the truck with Losi 57's with 35 ae oil. Middle on tower inside on the arm!!!

The old old car was and is still good. The problem from the beginning with the 4.1 was the chassis material. Way too soft and The whole car is made of it. Made it numb and dull on the track. The +8 is better in certain situations because it's made of the older (stiffer) plastic.

A properly built/setup and DRIVEN old school 2003 B4 is just as competitive.

We all just want new stuff to buy and play with!!!
