Make sure your diff is not too tight. Also, what front tires are you running? My scrubs push through low speed turns but handle sweepers great. Switched to ribbed fronts and zero toe, and that was the ticket. Ride height could play into it as well. I run level at 24mm on a tech track with a lot of jumps and triples.

TY, so no need to get any pointed brands. Just to keep stuff in shape...

For instances ...
You could install that new Concept spur , but use a old pinion gear or a bent motor plate ?
The new spur's performance will not be as quite as you hope to hear on the track....

or
I could replace the plastic gears inside the gear box , but use the old top shaft & that also will not turn out quite & smooth ...

whats a good gearing for stock 2wd? i'm running 35/75 with good speed and power but have not compared it to other cars yet to know. i'd hate to get to the first race and be a dog around the track.

that's a 5.57 FDR that's nothing but top end or speed.

I would gear it down to around a 7 to 7.5 FDR

I am running a 13.5T with a 24/75 which is a 8.13 it moves very well. I also have timing in the ESC at 35 deg and +5 on the can

I am going to try same gearing no timing on wed.

If you are running a 17.5 try that or a little lower pinion. I think a few pages back someone has some gearing posted with them running a 17.5 spec motor

I hate to do this I'm sure the subject has been brought up many many times before....I just can't get a straight answer...what is the difference between the t4 vs the t4.1....? Thanks people

17.5 would use a higher tooth pinion. 35/75 could work for a fast track in no-boost/blinky 17.5.

There are quite a few small changes, but I can't usually remember them all. Same differences from the b4 to b4.1 I believe. In the top right of this page, right under page number, it says "search this thread". That would be your best bet to find the info.

...yeah I've looked it up and all I get is what people like and dislike

Timmahhh 12-03-2011 11:09 PM

Well my understanding is that the 4.1's have v2 shocks, aluminum rear hubs, metric outdrive bearings with different different parts and trans case I believe, rear shock tower with a narrower inner hole on the buggy, different plastics, different chassis mold... I could be a little off, but that's a starting point for your research.

For those knowledgeable on the difference, feel free to add or correct.

Rotax125 12-03-2011 11:09 PM

The T4.1 comes with the same bule bits as the T4 as long as its the FT version. The T4.1 gets the V2 shocks, alloy rear hubs, V2 slipper, newer CV's, Body, not sure on the diff. Its still a stealth, so id say its the same..
