Set Servo one tooth to the right??

Somewhere I saw where the correct setting with a Savox servo in a B4.1 is to actually off-set the servo horn one tooth to the right.

Cannot seem to locate that article anywhere, but, does anyone know if this is correct or was I dreaming?

Yes that's correct, the Airtronics also needs to be offset.

I did one standard pad up front of the battery and liked how it felt when I ran it on carpet, abrupt jumps.

Why is it that Team Associated no longer includes the full carbon parts on their Factory Team kits, yet are still making part# 9655 available? The carbon parts definitely have that "wow" factor and appear to be of higher quality as compared to the plastic stuff.

this was already covered, but the short of it is, the pros prefer most of the plastic pieces. The rear tower was never updated for the 4th hole or lipos. There is no +8mm carbon chassis and no one liked it anyway. The only carbon pieces used are the front arms, u-brace and top plate. I also dont think the carbon parts are made over seas where the kits are packaged.

The carbon T4 I had fit lipo batteries... isn't the battery length and width essentially the same as compared to the T4 FT?

I place mine even with the end of the rear chassis U-brace and its really good there. I will never run a full pack again unless its a 1/8th scale track with huge holes and the weight will benefit:lol:.

Some will some wont. Typically the 5k mah wont. It a height thing. They made the notch for the battery strap taller.

Did you notice if your buggy run faster with the shorty pack. Or handle better?

In 17.5 you will definitely notice the difference from a full pack to shorty.

Hideeho
At my skill level I'd describe the handling with a shorty as nervous. Others with more skill have described it as more nimble. I run both full & short, depending on track conditions. When the track is damp (not wet) & high bite I run the shorty, when it dries, gets dusty & is low traction I run the full. I would recommend borrowing a shorty for a few runs before buying.

I say a few runs because the setup is different for a shorty. Like most here, I set the back of my shorty at the front of the u-brace. In addition to changing your ride height to compensate for the weight difference, I find I get more front traction all around with the shorty. With the full size I fight on power push. Take this with a grain of salt though, as I run a truck chassis.

liked the feel of the shorty on high bite carpet myself in comparison to the full pack extreme of a 7200mah IP lipo (was using a 4600mah IP shorty).
