I got to run my new triad slipper for the first time today. It was definitely smoother than the stock. It was cooler in temperature to. It also looks awesome!

I'll still use the plastic zero degree b44 A hubs. Entirely plastic. 6 dollars. Made of WAY tougher stuff than the riser plastic and way cheaper to replace than the aluminum hubs. When I get a new kit, I'll probably use the carbon A hub. On the plus side, that means they probably won't rub on the truck wheels now, where as the plastic risers did, but the b44 hubs did not. That's a plus.

Just ran the new aka handlebars today (basically suburbs). I tested the clay compound on high bite 100% clay and medium bite dirt/clay. All I got to say is they still need some work. I love aka and everything but I was kinda disappointed in the performance. The rears have way too much side bite and no forward bite. The fronts were okay but still not as good as bar codes. But I'm sure aka will be the tire to run in the future.

Wow that was fast. A well known and respected HK online shop has the B4.1 WC on sale for $180

So no carbon rack for the 4.2?

Well it seems that I basically have the JConcepts Version of the B4.2.

All I need is shock towers.

Also, I just bought my Reedy Sonic!

Any more info on the new reedy motor?

Are you AKA sponsored or did someone just give you some tires?

That's funny. I spoke with Gunner Reick yesterday and he says they're the best tire at the Midwest Champs right now. I look forward to getting mine soon.

You got your hands on fronts too? Since I only ran mine on Monday with the track change I'm reserving judgment but I think my conclusion will be same as yours too. What insert did you use? I figure mine still need to break in too. BTW how is the track now? Trying to make it out this weekend but might have to take the car to the body shop again. I'm wondering if its the compound or a tread issue, they feel more firm than the jconcept gold, not sure how aka color codes are but mine had a purple dot. Their application chart didnt really help

They handed rears out at ocrc at the end of the holiday series.

Could be the dirt too, I only ran mine on a track change day so the track needed to break in plus I needed to break the tires and foams in, used proline closed cell, currently I have mixed feelings. That said I'm not ruling them out yet due to the conditions I used them under.

It's bittersweet seeing the 4.2 retailing at 279. My 3 month old WC with 200 in upgrades (still using V2s with BB springs) is now worth 150 at best and still needs 125 in BB shocks and springs. I just wanted a reliable car that performs well on our track. I know it's a consumer market but damn....whining over. I'll just STFU and drive on the same winning platform. BBs aren't really necessary if your track doesn't have big air, flat landings, or long high speed sweepers.
