Hey guys I just switched to ae bb springs last night at the track using the avid adapters, I don't care for the 2 piece design though and wonder if the ghea one piece collar will accept ae springs. Description states losi bb springs but not sure if ae bb are the same diameter. I'm guessing they are but wanna be sure before ordering.

They will fit.

Well you got a few things wrong. The point of getting the traxxas upper retainer and spring cups is so that you can use BIG BORE springs. That's an older standard losi spring. It woulda fit without the TRX parts.

You only need the upper retainers which will slide right onto the threaded adjuster and the bottom spring cup. Then you have to buy losi 22 springs or the avid or what I highly recommend are the new ae BB springs. I'd also just get a set of the ae BB spring cups too, much better fit than the TRX ones.

Thanks Adam. I'm only out a few dollars on the springs. They are bigger than the stock springs in diameter, so they wouldn't fit without the TRX stuff, but still if they are the wrong thing, I'll get the right thing.

I appreciate your help as always!

I used those collars and I do like them better but right now I have the Avid two piece collars. With that said did you scuff a portion of the AE collars so that the set screw seats in better? I went down fairly far to get it right.

Doesn't Cav run for Proline? Or did he switch?

He just signed with AKA for tires so who knows what that means for bodies

Bob I was thinking the same thing!! They look silky smooth!!

AkA has a very limited tires selection for 1/10 buggy. I wonder why he picked them.

I beg to differ on that. The RB6 is incredible already and will only get better as they refine that platform. The b4 platform has way more years under its belt, so it's hard to compete in the "refined" category, but I've dialed in an rb6 from scratch and they definitely raised the bar from their previous car. I never thought the RB5 was all that (mine never fit me, always liked my b4 way more), but the RB6 is amazing--homework was done at kyosho.

Definitely at least as good as the b4.1 platform performance wise, if a bit on the fragile side still--I snapped a rear inside camber mount on a friends just landing a large jump with some whip/counter steer to point the car in the right direction on landing. I literally was still right side up pointed the right direction on the track with a busted car going "serious? I didn't even wreck!"

Tebo is one of our home town guys and I had the opportunity to drive his as well as a few friends RB6s and man... talk about nice. just wait until they figure out how to make tough plastic and they're going to really have something.

My $0.02
