Majority of users use either an A hub or C hub, why wont the A's go on? They go on the exact same way as the B hubs.

Maybe it's me the a hub looked like it didn't sit flat against the hub for the a, s

Do you have it on the correct side? they go on exactly the same, the only hub that can go on either side is the C. The A & B are lefts and rights

Maybe I had it on the wrong side I'll check

Two questions:

-Does anyone know the wheelbase difference between the 3° and 3.5° toe blocks?
-I have a good amount of slop between the Ti coated ballstuds, and Lunsford ballcups, even where they were new, just wasn't as much when new. Besides replacing them, which I feel won't give me the results I want, is there a way to get rid of the slop between the two pieces without binding the assembly?

I have had good luck with Losi ball cups on the ti nitride ball studs. The part number is Losa6016. Some say they bind but I have not experienced any binding. I can take my shocks off and the arm moves plenty free.

But there's no side/side play with the cup on the stud?

Your always going to have some. i have no experience with the lunsfords but i can tell you that i prefer these over the stock cups, rpm cups and the old JC cups. The new JConcepts HD cups will be nice when they come out.

+1 I have been using the Losi ballcups with the stock AE ball studs and very minimal slop and they stay on tight.

How do they feel as compared to JC or AKA?

Wild Cherry 01-06-2013 01:49 PM

@the track

Have both, new AKA red and Sweep...

Both feel the same when new, very little difference.

I use it. Almost two months of use and no issues. Literally just inspected the gearbox last night during maintenance too. Never ran the stock one since my kit had a bent one (threads) out of the box. I run 17.5

My experience is that the AKA's seem to breakdown after multiple re-uses as compared to JC blue closed cells. The AKA's seem to lose their volume and go flat but seem to work the best when they are new.

+1. The new hard coated MIP top shaft is really nice. Been running it mainly in 17.5 but have also ran with it in mod. This combined with the Avid slipper in 17.5 gives a lot of acceleration.
