I order stainless screws from grainger in bulk. I get a 60%-75% off catalog pricing. Can do an entire vehicle for $5-6.

What are good batteries to look into? Running Stock class. =]

SMC, Orion, Racers Edge, Thunder Power are all very very good batteries.

Ones to avoid: MaxAmps and SPC are the pits.

Help with wiring

3 Attachment(s)
Hey guys.

Finally got my whole new electronics setup in.

I just want a few tips to make it look better.

Where is a good place for the capacitor?
Right now I just tucked it behind the ESC.

Anything helps. Eventually I will black out the wires but I want it to look good for now.

Thanks!

Well I cleaned up the receiver side and now all I need is that wire wrap that it seems AMainHobbies does not carry anymore...

Where can I get it???

Any tips on what I should do to the ESC side?

I already have some black motor wires, I just dont want to take the risk of soldering them onto the ESC yet...

If you don't want to risk soldering you can use sharpie if you would like.

And since I run my LRP all the way back I put the capacitor on the side, but it's all personal preference, it looks good where it is

My cars including my 1/8th buggy are 90% ss and 10% titanium. I'd love to be able to get them all in one kit. I know the numbers say ss isn't as strong as stock steel but I've never had a ss failure with some basic placement prejudice.

Acer bearing company sells top grade titanium

ss is generally soft. especially the grade they use for screws.
you need a really good set of wrenches that fit ultra snug. I don't see the gained benefit of the more expensive ss screws for a rc car.

What happens if I remove the cap?

What if I remove it but replace it with the LRP Works Cap Pack?

Replace it with the LRP Works Cap and secure it next to the ESC.

I like to coil the transponder and servo wires around a screwdriver shaft. Wrap tightly and hold for a minute and they will stay that way. No need to bundle and gather in shrink tubing.
