That explains a lot...and I've never believed the trinity packs. Even back in the old days I remember them being accused of fudging numbers on their packs.

Anyone that used the two stage shock pistons of RPM?

What are your opinions, experiences?

There also seems to be a difference light - medium and medium - heavy?

yeah, I have wondered the same. Most companies are below 70c. So when some companies have magic batteries, I always wonder why reedy and others dont have magic batteries.

when the worlds car was release, they changed the front shock shafts to .80 from .71. Was this because the pros were running the .71's with the end unscrewed 2 turns? I broke a shaft this weekend and have some .71's in my pit box. Trying to debate if the .80's are really required or if I should use the .71's with less limiters. I know the shafts are only $5.49. But i have these shafts in my box that I will never use lol. I kinda wanna use them just because I have them.

So t nut only fits in one side? If so maybe that's the reason.

That was done prior to the worlds car i think, you should still be able to use them but make sure they are the correct length, build one up and check it to your other that has the .80 shaft in it.

what was the reason for the extra length? Wouldn't a .71 with no limiters be the same as the .80 with 3? Extra droop when you need it?

I did before switching to BB shocks (now I use the MIP ones). The red pistons worked best for me.

Yes they work just fine. If you normally run 3 limiters just use 0. I've done it several times.

They changed to te .80 shafts when the .1 came out. It was just easier to have the same complete shock as the 44 front. Plus it is more adjustability. Me and a lot of other drivers were using the .80 shafts a long long time ago instead of unscrewing the eyelet.

Flat side goes up...at least that is how they were installed in my V2s when I got my B4.1

Ok I've done some more research and you can install them either way depending on what you are trying to accomplish. The reason I thought they might help you would be in that mogul section and you want normal pack and faster rebound so taper down.

Taper down \ | / - Slow compression, fast rebound

Taper up / | \ - Fast compression, slow rebound
