Sounds like May 15th will be our first outdoor race at Full Throttle in Foley Minnesota. By the way ModTurtle, that was an awesome clip. Dudes got some awesome range and a crazed imagination.

Have you guys followed the thread about shock o-rings? Anybody on here experimented with any other o-rings besides the AE? The X profile ring seems like a great idea.

I've personally never had a problem with the AE o-rings... I guess once I do I'll give the 'x'-rings a try!

Yeah, that clip was great and I love John Williams' work so...

I use these o-rings from McMaster-Carr. They last a very long time before they show signs of leaking

And they come in packs of 100?!?! Are they an easy fit? Same dimensions as the AE ones?

The new SC10 4x4 uses the x-rings.

They are the exact same size as the stock Associated ones, a standard AS568A-006 O-ring. Just select the correct AS568A dash number and you can try different materials and durometers if you want.

I was referring to was that this seems to be where oring technology is going. Hopefully this become standard in all AE lines and future versions of their shocks.

Ah. I agree then Quad O-rings are a standard off the shelf item. I wonder why AE didn't use them in the first place?

Because if they waited to upgrade them in a later kit they can justify an extra 5 dollars on the price

Maybe Ae thought saving a few cents is not worth a big lost in performance.....

The kyosho springs being used on b4's, is it the big bore or regular springs. What colors for front and rear, also what weight oils are being used?

You would use the regular springs. Color would be orange or Yellow fronts and cobalt blue rears. Shock oils would be the same. What the springs offer is no rubbing against the bodies and more progressive spring rates. This will help reduce chassis slap. Also note that Durango springs will work as well. i have them currently mounted up and do not rub the bodies what so ever. i will be trying them out tomorrow.
