I think when my 44.2 comes in I will soak them over night. If it works out I will be sure to post it.

Have seen the inside bottom of seal caps have a tab of flash inside from the machining...Ck for ...

seen that on mine, not sure that would be my issue.

even flash 3/4 the way around the cap, not crazy flash and it's even..I don't see it putting uneven pressure on the o-ring causing issues.

If I have to deal with a little weeping to get the zero sticktion the BB's have I will.

Inside the bottom seal cap, next to where the threads end , machine sometimes bumps the bottom ...

a X knife takes care of ...

Don't soak O-ring, just use a few drops of shock oil on seals when assembling.

Don't forget,Ck for any flash on hat bush & spacer's

I've had the same experience. Weeping is a good word for it. They seem to have all but stopped. Maybe soaking would be a good idea. A week of shock oil mud all over, blows!

no flash in the bottom cap, more of a 3/4 round flange/lip on the bottom of the cap. Hard to explain other than that, and it's thin and even..few thousands at most.

green slime all my o-rings, both on my AE and TLR rides.

any flash obviously taken care of....I don't need to learn that much..lol

Racer does it look like the press that made the shock shaft hole in bottom shock cap didnt get a clean swipe and slightly pressed the edge of hole out? My buddy had same issue, severe leaking. AE replaced via phone complaint.

Mine is synced to my Photobucket account, where I host them.

Stupid question time,

I know I've seen it posted in here and yes, I did use the search. Still could find exactly what I was looking for.

Avid springs?

What are the F&R's that most seem to be running? Thinking White/White or White/Yellow might be a good starting point. Found a couple of setups sheets and it was either Yellow/Red or Red/Red, which seemed a bit over sprung to me. Thanks for the help.

My typical is yellow/yellow but ran Yellow/white yesterday for lower grip. Worked great.

Hey guys I'm getting this car soon. Im just wondering if their are any hop-ups I should do? I think I might get ceramic diff balls and a aluminum steering rack. Is that good? Also are the aluminum shock caps any good for the v2 shocks?

Most important upgrade is the BB spring retainers. Really helps the car handle the ruts a lot better than the small diameter springs. I attribute it to the springs being more progressive due to the winding. I upgraded my B4.1 a long time ago, and it makes a huge difference on my home track (hard packed dirt, with med-high traction that can get really blown out when dry).

I had been running my 44.1 with the stock springs and decided to swap over before the main yesterday. After swapping I picked up 2-tenths on my fast lap time. With a little more tuning I can definitely get another 3+ out of it.

This is the easiest way. All I had to do was add my account info and then when i click on a picture, click share, Photobucket is an option.
