IN regards to batteries and Blinky classes. Locally we have done a bunch of testing in the Vintage Trans AM Class (Onroad) that uses a blinky esc with a 25.5 turn motor and we found that the lower the C rating. What actually happened was the lipo's warmed up faster keeping the voltage slightly higher over the run that really high C Rating batteries.
This allowed for slightly more RPM which was felt int hat slow of a class.
Personally I run a 20c 5000mah turnigy pack that works perfectly. Really light and small that I have lots of forward and rear movement for tuning.
Still working on the driving
Butg I have also turned down the punch (current limiting) so that the torquey RevTech 17.5 keeps the wheels from over spinning when I get happy with the throttle
lol

I'm not trolling, I came to this thread cause I am also a B44 owner (my daughter races it) and I was wanting to see what big bore shocks you guys are switching too since AE seems to be behind making the switch. I may be getting a B44.1 for myself soon also.
Our track is 80 percent b4 and it won the worlds last year. the car is good. People just like change. Rhe 22 has nice features but like all losi buggies they are hard to make turn
I dont like that the tlr22 and kyosho buggy's shocks are placed in front of the shock tower in harms way.I still crash and my b4.1 and top of the front shock towers get eaten up with dirt but on the losi and kyosho I noticed the tops of the front shocks takes the beating because of where they are mounted.

So, what are you guys doing to get big bores on your buggies?
B4.1 is definitely good. I agree that people like change sometimes but this guy is all AE (nitro, truck, 1/10 buggy), so I was shocked. My 22 turns like no other so I disagree with your last sentence, and steering is "supposed" to be where the 22 excels and outperforms all others (if you believe the TLR website ). Either way, I'm not gonna come to a AE thread and act like a Losi fanboy.... it's the driver who wins the race. And like I said, I own an AE and would buy another .

The 22 and the 4.1 worlds are both great buggies. I owned them back to back, and enjoyed both. However, i was always chasing a set up with the 22. I really wanted to like the 22, but for me, it is not as easy to drive as the 4.1 worlds. I frequent a few different tracks and had to always play with the 22 set up to get it going. Not with the 4.1. I have been using very close to the same set up since i bought it. Just use the right tires for the track and your good to go. I just did my first diff rebuild. very durable.
I have the big bore springs, hex conversion, avid steering rack and motor plate, and run a shorty pack. Could not ask for more.
BTW, I practice with a buddy who has the 22. We are pretty close skill wise, but i know i can pass him when we reach a tight corner. I take the inside line every tme, because the 22 just does not turn in tight enough. Everywhere else we are pretty even.

Im no fan boy but i must admit i have a pretty solid setup on my car,I've played with some ball stud washers and shock fluids and springs but i always go back to my first set up,really easy to drive,if i was to try out another buggy id try out the durango 210 buggy, once the plastic chassis comes out i bet that buggy will be a lot better.

The guy at the hobby shop here told me the 22 jumps like an 8th scale and that just about everybody races a 22. I've never raced two wheel electric I've always been a nitro buggy guy so this is going to be new to me. My mugen I could just drop it and place in the top 5 every race. Never really had to set it up or chase a setup. I wish there was a b4 driver at my home track.
