I am at 75/33 as of now with 45* of timing on my TP motor. It's at about 150f after 15 minutes, and during a 6 minute qualifiers and mains it gets to 115f(+ or - a small amount). It feels the most consistent thoughout the time I am racing.
Cool, Thanks

Guys, I'll be running a 17.5t Orion VST motor. So 75/26 a decent starting point for the stock blinky mode class? I know this will be a lot slower than my 8.5t motor, but hopefully still fast enough to have fun..

I had alot of gearing issues trying to figure out a 13.5. Finally figured out that the Factory Team manual is wrong. It has the right FDR but the wrong pinion for 17.5 and 13.5. So grab the FDR number from the manual and figure out what you need to be close to it. Base it off a 75 spur (so you can use big pinions). You SHOULD be in the 32-35 range if I remember correctly.

in case you forgot, calculate FDR by doing : Spur / Pinion and then X 2.6 (our trasmission gear ratio) So for example 75 / 35 = 2.14 2.14 x 2.6 = 5.564 FDR

I am at a 30/75 and it moves well. I may try a 28 for the track I race at due to it's size. (Very small)

I'm at a 78/33 with Tekin 17.5 and it rips. Last Saturday after a 7 minute main it was at 112*.

What do you guys recommend for a 10.5?

Thanks

Sorry don't have a 44... maybe look at the spring rate and then try to match up the losi equiv as a starting point.

Anyone have a good setup for out door, blue groove clay? Slightly dusty at times.

Ive been using JR Mitch's setup from my track (Region 4 Roar Nats) and, while its a great setup, i get a awful lot of slap.. However, i really like the setup which makes it hard...

Been using this setup. I did tweak it a tad to my liking, went with a softer spring in front and 1 less bump spacer in my front camber link.

THinking of trying this one.

When I had my 10.5 in the 2wd, I was running a 72/26 with 20 degrees of timing on the motor. I think I could have gone up a tooth or two on the pinion with a little less timing.

+8 chassis use Cav's Worlds setup
std chassis use Maifield's Reedy Race setup
