Ran my truck yesterday on some high bite clay and I came up with a problem in my steering.. Whenever I do a full turn to the right the steering sticks before it comes back (I adjusted the endpoints so its not from oversteering the servo).. I think it might just be some clay that kicked up somewhere into the steering rack or somewhere near the tire but if there is any more advice on that please let me know!

This thread has very interesting info, now I think it is time to add a T4.1 to my collection :)

Would you trade your quick change setup for the regular setup? Each take pics of the parts necessary, compare condition, and each pay to ship to each other?
I dont know of all the parts involved, but would be willing to pay for shipping for an even trade. |
Are the RPM Ball Cups really as good as everyone says? I mean do they break very often?

i hate yet to break one. i have them on both my 4.1 and my 44.1. beware tho, if you pop one off during a race, you will most likely not be able to get it back on before ur race is over. they go on tough, but don't really break.

Anybody run their B4s at A-Main/Outback Raceway in chico? I'm going to start running their pretty soon and was looking for a good setup. Thanks!

So are you saying that they pop off in races normally?

Had a great night with my B4! I put on Ryan C's indoor set-up and I installed Kyosho Velvet shocks. Kyosho yellow springs in back, Associated browns up front. All I can say is WOW! What a difference this made. I finally had more entry steering and on power steering. The new shocks were awesome and I was able to jump much better, especially in the little tricky single-single we have in the infield. I was able to TQ with consistent laps and the fast lap of the heats. Then my Novak ballistic had a bearing seize up in the final. I was quite out in front and doing very well and the rear wheels froze up. Oh well, it was just exciting to finally get this buggy working the way I wanted it to. I think I really need to upgrade it however as the beast is about 6 years old! Just not in love with the 4.1 plastics.

Sounds like an awesome job racing forwardonly!! I had something similar happen with my t4 this last wednesday :/ Cept not a motor issue.. The screws on my gearbox came loose and from the play in the motor plate the inner slipper disk started scraping it causing a whole hell of a lot of problems... I was pissed... :flaming:
Don't bother with the 4.1's if you already have the b4. Really the only big differences are a couple aluminum parts here and there for added strength against the new brushless systems. The t4's/b4's obviously still kick amazing butt otherwise associated would have tried coming out with a new buggy/truck ;) On a side note, does anyone know how much the aluminum front arms weigh? I'm thinking of swapping them in for some added weight to the front end of my t4 |
FT B4.1 Shock question
More limiters in the front shock will give more corner exit steering correct? I moved my front spindles to the up position and I had more on power steering on corner exit. I currently am running 3 limiters. How many limiters can be added?

Just picked up a b4.1 Team. Anything I should know about it? Weaknesses, upgrades, mods? Thanks
