Got tired of using the clips to adjust pre-load so I purchased some Kyosho Velvet Shocks and installed them on my B4. Can't wait to hit the track to try these out. Soooooo smooth! Might not be brand loyal, but the V2's would have cost me twice as much and Kyosho shocks are awesome! I love my RT5.

Quick question...

Has anybody tried one of the Aluminum steering racks that you can buy off of Ebay or anyplace else for that matter?

I'm lookin' for a way to get rid of all the slop in the steering assembly... and I'm curious if the Aluminum racks will help.

I'm not one of these guys who puts aluminum on just cause it looks pretty, but in this case I think it might actually have a function.

I have 1 of those I find there a lot smoother and move more free than the stock stuff. Even when u glue the servo saver. It has only slightly less play in it. You might need to change your ball cups out.

Ball cups are fine... I change them regularly.

So the aluminum rack still has a bunch of slop in it?

I run part of an aluminum rack on my T4.1 and SC10. I'm not sure who makes it as I got it from a friend but I only run the side that has the servo saver on it. Mine also doesn't have a servo saver, just a one piece setup. I only run it on the trucks because they seem to break a bit easier as opposed to on the B4.1.

Well I run my saver glued anyway, and to be honest I don't wreck all that often, so I'm not worried about that aspect of it...

I just HAVE to get rid of all this slop... I'm tired of trying to set alignment on this stupid thing and can't get an accurate reading for ANYTHING.

I know some slop is fast... But this is rediculous!

I'm even going back to the old carbon arms just because the new .1 stuff sucks!

ok i just com paired them i have a glued servo saver on buggy and the full alum setup in t4. It has about half the play left and right movement to stock stuff. And yes the alum is one piece so no servo saver. hope that helps you out.

Dumb question perhaps:

I picked up a second hand FT T4 that came w/ the GT2 quick change wheel system out back. Can anyone help me out w/ a parts list to get it back to stock?

Thanks.

Just buy the front quick change system from Axiom Racing Products and then you can use the same wheel on the front and back!

Thanks for the suggestion, CK. I saw your setup and it's super nifty.

However, I'd rather the ability to employ the wheel/tire sets I already have laying around.

If anyone who's done the swap wants to offload their old parts, I'd be glad to take them so long as it's a complete package and in good-excellent condition.

Would you trade your quick change setup for the regular setup? Each take pics of the parts necessary, compare condition, and each pay to ship to each other?

I dont know of all the parts involved, but would be willing to pay for shipping for an even trade.
