Info, like a teaser. Probably like they did with the Scorpion. Just a shadow would be my guess.

Our track runs 17.5 boosted for "stock" class. I am getting killed on speed. Currently running orion esc with a ion4 17.5 boosted 40 deg. It is slow and has heat problems. Anyone out there have a suggestion of what to try. I have gone from big spur/small pinion to small spur/big pinion and cannot find speed.

Thinking of going back to Tekin RS and Gen2 17.5???

What is your gearing? Are you geared for the track. You need to find the right gear ratio for your track before you add boost and timing. For my rt5 i ran 75/26 for 17.5 in blinky, then i would slowly add timing on the can, when i got that worked out i would add boost thru the speedo. You might have go down on your pinion a tooth or two depending on how hot the motor gets after a few minutes.

21/78 is where I start from. I know how to gear and temp. Blinky won't keep up to the boosted guys. Most of them are running no can timing and 40 degrees of boost, starting at 3000 rpms and adding a deg of boost every 250 deg. They come off the track at 150 deg at 5min and 160-170 deg at 7min.

Having owned a FT SC10 and now a SC-R they are both great trucks. Most guys around me are running SC-Rs and not SPs or big bores and they are plenty fast.

New releases will always happen. You could always wait (indefinitely) until a new Kyosho comes out and everyone will fire sale their SC-Rs and SP LOL

I have at least one maybe two of the blue machined strc motor plates as well as the aluminum hinge pins hangers and lots of other scr goodies that I do not need like diggity designs carbon shock towers and carbon battery strap and kyosho blue battery thumb screws/tower.

What wheel offset does the SC-R-SP use? Is it the same for fronts and rears? TIA.

Same front and rear most use Slash rears , If you want a little wider you can use slash fronts .
