i just finished building the 210 in MM4 combo for some indoor carpet offroad. so far it has been pretty nice to drive just looking for some tips and/or info on set up. more steering would be nice IDK much about the 2wd buggy platform this is new adventure for me....
Are you looking for on power or off power steering?
Less caster for more off power steering
More caster for more on power steering
Lighter spring for more low speed steering
Heavier spring for more high speed steering
Heavier rear spring
Add a rear sway bar
Less rear toe
Try running more antisquat for more off power steering.
Try a mini pin front tire like nano-bytes or terabytes instead of the block ribs fronts.
Add more weight to the nose of the car.
Less angle on the rear wing

Just an Fyi for people using TC5 ball studs. The new JC ball cups work really well for the DEX210, but the offset inner rear from the first generation JC ball cups is still needed.

After having much patience in letting my 12 year old put his first kit together on his own and a day of practice under his belt. I'm pretty impressed with the car I only ran it for one pack and the car handled really nice. My son though was able to break (3) parts though. He broke the rear shock tower twice and the crashes weren't exactly hard. Obviously the shock flexes and hits the motor mount as the ones he brock exactly in the same spot. The other break was just a rear arm. For the most part I was pretty impressed and look forward to tuning his car to dial it in on our local track.

Sounds like a good day.
Put a 1mm shim inbetween the tower and diff house to help with the breakages. You can also file off about 1mm from the mount as well.

Good advice by onekiwi. I'd also suggest carbon fiber or aluminum shock towers if possible.

I'm really loving this car! What's everyone using for a servo and servo horn? Also had an issue with the steering cranks bolts loosening so I tightened them up but the bracket they bolt too is just plastic and I've yet to see an aluminum one? I've seen the aluminum cranks but really whats the point if they just bolt to plastic?

Thanks on the servo horn recommendation. Yeah I can see the need for the rack but the part I'm talking about is the plastic piece the two bell cranks bolt to. Also the brace that goes between the two bell cranks is plastic too. Somebody should deffo make those two parts in aluminum.

As for the steering assembly parts that you mentioned, the only aftermarket part that you were after (that I know of) is a carbon fiber top brace found here http://www.nortechracing.com/ac/store.html

No issues without the servo saver. If you're worried, use the plastic horn that came with the kit. As long as you're using a metal geared
Servo, the horn will strip first.

I'm using an MKS DS1009 and it's been nice, don't have much to compare it to other than the stocker from the RTR kit.

Qualified 3rd and finished 2nd. Guy who got first lapped me and really is in a league of his own. Good thing is that he is driving a DEX210 and with his I gained almost a second per lap doing some practice driving after the main. Have some changes to make and will hopefully finish on the same lap as him haha!
