I also noticed that running the shocks on the back added about 3mm to the wheelbase.

Yup, the arms have a bit of stagger for a lack of better term. My buggy is really fast with this mod, but I started using it on a new layout (our turf is really funky until a grove forms) and haven't tried the normal set up recently, but I like it and don't plan on going back. This and the +8mm alloy chassis make this car scary fast.

I have a desc210r and I love the way it drives. I'm thinking about trying the buggy now. How does it drive compared to the rb6, which I currently have?

Just transitioned to the DIMEC +8 chassis, I really wanted the DIMEC20 but couldn't find it anywhere. I also switched the shocks to the rear and moved the elecs inline in the center. I can't wait to try all these this weekend as it should be like a new car. I noticed a 100 gram reduction in weight, but I can't tell if it was all the chassis or mostly the several inches of 12 guage wire removed by moving the esc and switching from Dean's to bullets.

I hoping the extra chassis length will help stabilize the car. I recently did the rear pivot shave (2mm lower rr & 1.5/3 pivot frt) modification and it really makes the rear come around in the corners.

No worries!

I'd like to hear some comparisons. I've been thinking about making the opposite switch myself and would like to hear from someone that has experience with both cars.

I also switched the shocks to the rear tonight, and it does make a difference, much more stable. I also moved all the hub carrier spacers to the front as well. I could immediately tell the difference!! What a great tip, and didn't cost me a dime.

Is this mod for mid or rear motor?

I'd stay away from the Reventons. A local went from using the older ones (gt2.0's I think)for a few years, decided to 'upgrade' to the reventon pro when it first came out and has fried 3 of them so far, one even let go while walking from his table to the track, then started smoking...

I have the reventon r and pro. I don't like either of thim in my dex210 or desc210. I run the gt2.1 ex for the esc in both. The gt2.1ex fits in the buggy better than the reventon ESC's.

Stay away from the sport esc. The Reventon Pro ESC is butter smooth with the latest software. There were initial growing pains, but the pro is a year or so old and it's awesome. I run one in my dex210, dex410, desc210. Latest software is a must.
