I ran Bman's +10 last Friday and it was amazing. I thought with the length I would lose some rotation... but I lost nothing and gained a ton of stablity. I now just need some track time with it to see what it can do....

I just tested the RDRP +11 chassis on high grip carpet, and all I can say is...WAUW it's AMAZING!!
- the car is very stable and still got the cornerspeed and rotation.
I'm very happy with the car now, just need a little more setup :-)

On carpet the most cars goes amazing. It's more interesting to see how the long chassis works on medium to low grip dirt tracks.
sounds excellent. so who makes these chassis. i want an alloy to keep the weight.

Thanks for the suggestions on fixing the sideways problems, it was the shocks as the fronts were too soft and the rears to firm. I am still going to try a gear diff to see what happens. That rtr has a lot going for it, +8 chassis and gear diff, nice.
I just wanted to share a few images with the new RDRP +11 chassis and some other bits as well as a new shell. I can post some more photos without the shell and from the rear of the car later tonight...
Nice looking car. Soooo, you like the long wheelbase + mid motor combo? I could see that being a trend. My shortcourse truck is super long and drives like a dream so don't see why it can't work well.
The longer wheelbase drives super stable and is still agressive enough.
I actually did change a lot on the car, not only the chassis but also moved the rear shocks behind the wishbones, switched to a shorty battery, changed the standard hubs to the aluminum ones, replaced the TD turnbuckles and ball cups with the Lunsford titanium set and also used the RDRP LRC blocks. All these changes helped me to win the B main last weekend...

has anyone tried the +11 on loose dirt or even clay in rm3, i keep looking at it over the dimec but i wanna be able to justify the price i would only be using it on high bite clay and not sure what our outdoor will be like yet but it use to be loose and dusty
When I put my +10 on I went to MM4 and liked it much better. I was able to push the car more like my 4wd. Without worrying about the rearend coming around under heavy braking.

low grip needs a flexible chassis
high grip needs a stiff chassis
large tracks wich are not to tight or technical is good for longer wheelbase
on small tracks wich are tight and technical you will not gain anything with a longer wheelbase
on loose dirt or clay. on tracks where grip is not high. you want a dimec over an aluminium chassis. no matter what wheelbase.

Changing your wheelbase will change more than just your wheel base. It can also change your weight distribution. In most cases related to our buggies, we tend to extend the front tires further from the center of mass. This puts less overall weight on the front and more on the rear. If you want/need a greater % of the overall weight of your car on the rear tires without adding much to the overall weight, a longer chassis will do that.
Just something to think about...
