the stock ones fit tight until you take a hard lick then you have to replace them. Im using the concepts cups with tc6 studs and they fit GREAT. If you still have trouble then check those out

Does anyone besides exotek make aftermarket aluminum parts? I'm getting a DEX210 in the future, but it would be neat to get some blue parts instead of the TD Gold.

I have not seen any blue annodized aluminum, but there are other aftermarket options other than exotek (exotek is greath though).

well i installed the extra 8mm plastic chassis last night and to my eyes its longer then 8mm over the standard alum chassis ?

i am thinking more like 10mm to 11mm its more then 8mm for sure

looking forward to trying it tonight in a testing session

should be good to compair as my stock buggy runs the 8mm carbon chassis and now mod buggy will run the plastic extra 8mm chassis as advertised

really looking forward to running some laps with it

oh yeh what a difference in weight i had to change my pre load on the shocks by over 5mm to get the same ride height

everything fitted perfectly as well and the chassis seems well built for moulded plastic

I would like to try the +8 chassis but i have a freshly painted Finnisher body i just completed. Do you have to mod the body? If so where?

Also, your rear tires look like Calibers. I have found those are great tires for practice on a dry track. They last a long time. I have 10 packs on a set and they still have some tread left.

no mods needed at all. i just had to cut the rear hole alittle. towards the rear of the car. once i did that it popped on with no problem. you will need to use body clips though. the velcro trick i dont think would be wise as the longer chassis is just a tick wider than the stock chassis. fas as the calibers go i couldnt agree with you more. they are great tires to practice and race with. when it calls for it i'll bust out some barcodes or bk bars.

Thumbs up

Well 200 laps later and that was a fun little test session.

Longer chassis makes it feel more planted for sure and I did beat my PB lap time by 0.3 of a second but I still need to make more changes I feel to shocks and springs for the lighter buggy now.

All in all was well worth the money for plastic chassis

of the +8mm chassis what would be the most universal one from dirt to carpet or for indoors carpet would it be better to just use the stock alloy chassis?

what springs are a must tohave in the parts box outside of the stock ones?

I would go with the dimec20 chassis, but on higher traction tracks, I actually prefer the aluminum chassis.( keep in mind my experience is with the +8 carbon chassis)

i also use losi springs since they are readily available where i live, and out of all the spring combo's i have tried, I use the losi 22 silver in the front and losi orange in the rear almost exclusivley.

This is the kind of info I like to see. Thanks for the update.

Let me know what springs, pistons, and oil you end up going with. And post info on what kind of track you are testing on if you don't mind.

Well, I would like to update some info also. I have the std flex +8 chassis, and I installed the Dimec20 in my sons car. I drive on a clay med-med/hi bite track, and his is definitely better than mine. I figured with the lower temps in my area, that the softer chassis may be a better choice, but it makes my car lazy compared to his, the stiiffer chassis is much more consistent, at least IMO. The softer chassis will be good in low traction situations.
