I switched around to a mid motor layout for this weekend, and I have to say, I'm loving it! I race on a tight indoor layout with a couple 180's and a few other very tight turns. The dex210 just rotated around them like they weren't there. At first the car was a little squirly, but I added some rear toe in and backed off the slipper a bit and took care of that. This is my second week with with the car. The first week, my best was a 12 5:10 with a fast lap of 24.5 and I finished 5th in the B. This weekend I ran a 12 5:05 with a fast lap of 23.8 and finished 2nd in the B. Right now I'm still on kit springs and I've got the purple/black combo that hupo uses on the way. I'm also going to start using tire additives to get as much traction as I can.

I love this buggy and I'm completely sold on Durango now.

Think your front tires may be a little off.

They are schumacher "cut stagger", they don't fit the whole rim. I'll be trimming the wheel soon. Just one of the tricks for indoor carpet racing.

Just purchased the DEX210-my first 2wd buggy. I am in the process of reading through the thread- can anyone tell me what optional and replacement parts I should order for the build.
Thanks

As far as tips go, go to The Team Durango website, and under tips read through the diff build, makes life a whole lot easier, and will pay huge dividends when you aren't asking why it doesnt work when it isnt built correctly..Awesome ball diff, just takes a little concentration during the build..Then do the same for the turnbuckles, and download the Manual while your there, there are some small typos in the book version.

As far as Optional parts, a steering rack, either aluminum or carbon, and if the budget allows, carbon towers. I have never had problems with the car, but I drive pretty conservatively, crashing while slow driving breaks less I guess..

I know a CF or Aluminum steering rack (the stock plastic is a bit flimsy) and either a few stock rear towers or get a nice CF one (unless they redid the rear tower to make it less likely to break)

Are you using the ceramics? I havent tried them in my 210, but i have tried them in the past. Others have said they dont work well in the diff, but did work in the thrust. The diff ball actually need to grip the washer so to speak to get it to work, and it seems the ceramics are too smooth to do it effectively. Carbide would be a good alternative if you have problems with the kit diff balls. I have only used the steel ones, as they haven't disappointed me as far as life span..

Yeah the Tresrey 3.0mm Ceramic Diff Balls. I love the ceramic diff balls the stock balls got notchy on the first day. Running on carpet and indoor clay still smooth as silk 1/8th turn out on the diff.

Got my kit built last week, and all the electrics in and soldered up yesterday. Can't wait to put some laps down but I am already SUPER FRUSTRATED with the stock ball cups. I was reading some options, can I just get the long RPM cups and get regular size ball studs and use the stock links?

Yes:
1. RPM long ballcups
2. AE TC6 ballstuds
3. Stock Durango links

you may need to swap the rear hubs around for clearance.

Johnny,

Ya'll get a chance to test 2 hole pistons this weekend? I get my new drill bits today, and will be able to check the car out in a few days. Going to start with 30/27.5.
