This is a few days late, but you should have no problem getting more ride height than that with the kit springs. I measure my ride height right under the trans and basically right under the servo and have mine set at 24mm with the stock springs.... and yes the adjusters in the rear are pretty near maxed out, but there is still some adjustment left in them. Make sure your shocks arent binding, with no oil in them, they should feel pretty smooth with very little drag on them. Also make sure your suspension is free with no binding when the shocks are off the car...the rear hubs are a tight fit, if you just shove all the shims in it will probably bind up. I had to run a file slightly on my hubs to free it up before final assembly because it was pretty tight and wouldnt allow the suspension to move freely on its own.

Now if I take the spacer out everything goes together smooth and the transmission spins freely. I've been told the spacer does need to go in there but for whatever reason it's just not working.

Anyone else have this problem?

Running the mid-motor 3 gear setup.

here is a picture of the problem, you can see the bearing pushing out and thats not even tight (or threaded). That's only pushed onto the lip of the actual gear box. if I tighten it up or even thread the top 2 motor plate screws it's almost an instant drive line bind.

thanks for any tips,recomendations.
Measure the small topshaft bearing. The kit calls out for a 5x8x3 but mine came with a 5x8x2.5 and has no play. Also measure your spacer when its out and I'll check it against mine to see if its off. Need to flip my outdrives again, one side is gouged up a bit after two races. I think its my Agro driving style!

I had to do this with every suspension point on the car. The plastic spacers are also pretty crap. I have the aluminum gold spacers on order to replace everything + extras.

Mine measured the same. I just measured the raised(keyed) section of the topshaft and its 12mm. My larger bearing measures 4mm in width.

Are you using any other internal spacers besides the 11mm one?

So what motors is everyone running in the 210?? I'm thinking about getting one, but i'm on a budget. Would i be stupid to even think about putting my castle 3800 sct system in one? thanks!

The 210 has great rear traction, but for 2wd buggy I would definitely go with a sensored setup. Plus an 8.5 can give you all the power you'll ever need if your esc has boost capabilities. I see that 1410 being very hard on the drivetrain too with all of the torque it makes- that little motor rocked in our 4wd sc trucks, couldn't imagine how insane it would be in a buggy.

Does anyone know a good final drive ratio for the 210 with a 6.5T?

If I geared the car 81S/26P that would give the car an 8.06 FDR per the 2.6:1 transmission. I am not familiar with a good FDR for off road; Any help would be greatly appreciated! Oh and btw I am assuming the car comes with an 87T spur stock based on what I've read here. Is this correct? Thanks guys

Thanks for the reply! Perfect, I was thinking about getting an 8.5 sensored setup like the hobbywing xerun for it. And yeah the 1410 worked perfect for my 4x4 sc but now that I think about it, it will have way too much torque for the buggy. I think i'm going to order my 210 tomorrow!
