A few pics for fun. This was my Slash 4x4 Platinum, now a Monster Slash, built up for the wife.
RPM everything, MIP X-Duty's in the rear, Trenchers on all corners, and the J-Concepts F150 SVT Raptor Truck body for the Slash 2WD. Running stock gearing, Losi 2.5" blue springs in the rear, green 2.5" in the front, now with stock Stampede 4x4 gearing for 2S wheelies.
Don't bother with the stock instructions, as the body fits just fine using the stock body holes. No reason to do anything else to it.

I must say, it looks very solid. How does it feel compared to your stampede? And how's the BLH ESC doing? I've seen a few people use them with SC401s and SC411s but a few have had them blow out.

It's more stable then the Stampede, but not as explosive off the line, as it's larger and weighs more. A much better all-arounder, whereas the Pede tends to be explosive and wild.
The Monster Slash uses a Hobbywing SC8, which is 120a and really more for buggies. The ESC has no issues pushing that truck around.
The Pede's BLH 120A is rocking house. Very smooth, great brakes, and it never, ever warms up.

My bad on the first part. Do they have technical inspection and ask you to open your shocks and stuff? ( This is just the 'go all out competitive racer' in me speaking). If you have the time and resources, I'd suggest you explore tapering pistons but if not, don't even care about it.
Happy Meal got it right. We race cars for the fun of it. I'll just add, how much ever we deny it, these are toys, very fast toys, but toys.

@WindDrake: Sweet. Yours is the V1, right?
@Happy Meal: I agree. No cheating is the best. I've seen videos of Scotty Ernst announcing a race and damn, he's good.

The BLH ESC. Not the one with the new switching BEC, right?

im running a mmm 2200k in my slash 4x4. looking for oppinions for the best drive shafts. i often run 6s mostly on the street. but this was my first rc and i have neglected it as i have grown my collection quickly. lately ive been wanting to build the most bulletproof, high powerd slash i can. no expense spared. all asvise is appreciated.
thanks in advance,

@Nick: The Tekno driveshafts are the most commonly used ones. If you don't care much for weight, the MIP driveshafts can do well too. you can use XO-1 driveshafts with XO-1 hubs if you use 17mm wheels.

I use 12mm hex scte wheels with xo1 axles. I get to swap tires around with other racers running scte's.
