Should be interesting! I've been a long time Associated guy. People are already saying that I won't like the car and that I may be "disappointed". I believe the Kyosho will be fantastic.

I am currently running Jared Tebo's MP9e setup from the ROAR Nats a few years ago. Is this a good starting point?

Running Tekin RX8, Tekin 2050kv, Savox 1267, Castle BEC, and my Futaba system. 13/46 gearing with Associated plastic spur.

Looks great bro! Great electronics choices as well.

Any of Tebos setups would be a great starting point. If it seems a tad twitchy just use a little dual rate to slow initial steering a tad because lots of pros setups feel twitchy because they drive so well and have better than normal reflexes.

As far as people saying you will be disappointed they are probably just jealous lol. The kyosho handles great and its very reliable as well.

Most goods have pretty much turned up, can't build the centre diff or shocks yet as waiting on different diff case/plastic spur and different pistons for the shocks. Going to start building today and see how far I get. Wife isn't to happy as my little girls 5th birthday party today and I am meant to be cleaning the house.
I know the radio and motor are cheap but will get me through for now and can use the radio on my kids cars.
Found the car stand in the cupboard when I was moving house recently, can't remember when I got that.

Is it just a roller? The new model isn't out yet (could be out in some places, not sure). You sure it is a MP9E and not the Inferno VE? All parts are interchangeable between the MP9E TKI and MP9E just a few changes;
New Features:
•7075 Aluminum Chassis
•MP9 TKI3 Threaded Aluminum Shocks
•Big Bore Light Blue Springs
•MP9 TKI3 High Grade Ball Bearings
•Aluminum Wing Stay Collar
•MP9 TKI3 Light Weight Outdrives
•Optional Hard Rear Suspension Holder (IFW407)
•Optional Hard Rear Lower Suspension Shafts (IFW415)
•Optional Aluminum Rear Hub Carriers (IFW414)
•Machined Aluminum EZ Motor Mount (IF501)
•7075 Aluminum Suspension and Steering Plate
•New Super Aiflow body (Clear, Unpainted)
•Newly Designed Molded Center Plate
•HD Universals Through Out.
Keep in mind though that a new kit will be $760.

Yeah, looks like a MP9E (black chassis, MP9 parts/suspension etc.). If it is a good price than you can't go wrong.

Well sun is going down (shorter days here now) and no power in the shed which was only built 2 weeks ago. The building for the day has come to a end. Managed to get the front and rear built and get some blisters on my right hand.

On ebay and for sale section usually they go around $350 - $500 depending on condition and modifications. Looks pretty much stock. What condition is the body in and bottom chassis? Any shocks or diffs leaking? It's $5 - $10 here and there for new seals/oils etc. that add up in the end. New body is $25 + paint.

I put a couple of holes in the plastic sideguard to the right of the centrediff and just bolted it onto that.

But now I just stuff my rc4 hybrid into the box.

Surprise news from Kyosho’s Buggy guru designer / godfather of the Inferno series of buggys Yuichi Kanai – announcing his departure from engine sponsor Team Orion – Kanai having run for the Swiss company which was purchased by Kyosho (in 2007) since 2009. The move comes as a surprise given Kyosho’s owning stake in Orion which rouses our suspicions a bit that something might be going on…

“I had decided to leave from Team Orion by my personal reason, it was very hard for me to make the decision. Thank you very much for the great help and support of Team Orion past days, especially great thanks to Philippe and Adrien, they have been taking care of me a lot. In the time, I had very happy to work with them and enjoyed the team a lot. Thank you very much for everything and I wish Team Orion Products all the success in the future.
