Default The Team Associated T5 is coming!!!

Just browsing AE's website for some info. on the RC8e, I decided to check out the race report section. I was scrolling through the get race reports by vehicle menu, and saw this:

I thought maybe it was a typo, but clicked go anyway. Then check out what comes up:

I think AE was running a prototype T5 at the Pro-Line Surf City Classic.

If they are working on a T5, I hope they did their homework. I like AE, but the new kyosho RT5 is awfully tempting.

I guess the RT5 scared them a little at the Hot Rod Hobbies Shootout.

This of course means that if the T5 is in prototype, then so is the B5.

I think more will become known about the B5/T5 in the next few months or early 2010. Kyosho has been getting closer and closer over the last year or so. Maybe the strong showing at the ROAR Nats and the wins at Hot Rod got them to get the prototypes out of "Area 52" or whatever they call their R&D department and on to the track.

I'm sure the parts would be interchangeable with the T4 and
probably a few other changes that would be minute and
be a little more competitive and maybe a better stock setup!!
I also suspect it to have more weight in the design so they
can claim it is lipo ready, prob come in RTR with brushless motor

I thought it was a typo as well, because they didn't list the B5 as well, but if it was just a typo, why would they link it to the race report?

I also hope the changes aren't just minute. They T4 could use quite a bit of updating. Larger outer rear hub bearings, carbide/ceramic diff balls, teflon/ceramic bearings, shocks that are easier to deal with, quick change hubs in the front and rear just to name a few.

Why Q/C hubs? What are you going to do make a pit stop in an electric race?

I'm not going to make a pitstop, just a nice feature to have.

Why would you hope it's a typo?? A new 10th scale 2wd truck from AE is long overdue IMO.

because you have to buy one rim. And if you don't like the tire that's on you can swap it real fast.
