SC10 Thread
#1051
I ran my first race tonight with my SC10. I'm running basically the stock set up with 40w shock oil in the diff, 30w shock oil in front, 25w shock oil in the rear and long camber links in the rear. It was very easy to over power the rear with this set up. I added some racers edge 1.5 deg rear hubs and the truck feels great. It was not loose at all in the groove and If I got out of the groove it was manageable. I forgot, I'm also running a short wheel base and 13.5 motor geared at 26/84

Kinda hijacked this thread with prostreets.
Diggin all of em tho.
Like the teardrop scoop on the old Fords, so much that's what I put on my Saleen Mustang.
My Slash is way easier to drive than my SC10 was but it is comin around, man it's takin a lot of tweekin and patience when drivin it. Gotta pay attention when racin it.
Crawler, you should be able to gear that thing way up.

Tried to go racing today. Well, I have never had the diff click on me. Been pretty lucky I guess. Today my luck ran out. I taped a board on the left side, the right side out drive cup where the cvd rides broke in half !!!!! So I grabbed a buddys diff and put it in, his was clicking so he put a ball diff in. It didnt click in my truck for some reason. Im thinking maybe the slipper has a lot to do with it? When I was putting it together I noticed the end of the cvd that goes into the diff, the pin was half out. Im pretty sure that is what snapped the outdrive. Probly got stuck in there some how.
Really getting sick of thunder tiger quality. when building the kit I put all new hardware in cause the kit stuff was soo out of spec I could use my metric wrenchs. The top plate crashed the steering rack and now the AE(TT) cvd's are falling apart. Next time I know to get MIP cvds instead of AE.
Needless to say im a little pissed. just though i would let you guys know to keep an eye on your cvds.
