As you improve I would recommend moving to a Stock SCT class with a 17.5 motor.
Why a stock truck? isn't there alot more people that would run modified trucks?
you lost me on the 17.5 motor, i was trying to find out the difference between them and how it effects your rc, can someone explain plz?

Around here 17.5 is more popular, but there are some tracks that run Mod only, which is why I decided to have 2 separate trucks. However if a track runs both classes, I tend to run both trucks and skip out on 2WD buggy.

Yeah i am not sure what the local tracks around here have, i know the SC 2wd is a popular class though.

Is 17.5 the speed of the motor?

17.5 is the amount of turns a motor has. the lower the number, the quicker the motor.

The only thing you are accomplishing by turning the collars up/down on the shock is adjusting ride height. To get a softer/stiffer feel you need to change springs which could lead to changes in oil/piston as well. What are you trying to accomplish? The #1 thing right away is to make sure that you have the correct tires/compound for your track.

Any secondary effects that tightening the springs down has is not something you need to be focusing on.

Everything on a vehicle has a primary purpose. Learn what those are and focus on that. You'll do a lot better

I highly recommend this following thread it completely transformed my understanding of how to tune an RC car:

They share a lot of the same parts, its mainly about just removing the front & rear bumpers.. even tho the chassis looks the same the T4 chassis is a bit shorter!
