SC10 Thread

I'm running one. Gear it between 20-78 and 24/78, use 80-100% punch control, set your slipper for about 15' of squeal, and have fun.

I tried running a 4th hole in my tower tonight. I was only able to try it out on the street, but I think I like it. I'm going to leave the shocks there until the next race.

Hey Chris, I'm about to rebuild my SC10 to your specs. How far did you back off the slipper? Fully tight and then a quarter turn or something else?

Here's my latest setup sheet if you're interested. It's biased towards rear traction, but still turns pretty well.

Chris, 15' to me seems like a ton of slip. I don't know your track, but isn't there any sections where you have to accelerate quickly to clear a jump? At my home track there's one section where there's a hairpin followed by a quad and you gotta get up to speed fairly quick to do a double double. Every track's different i know but 15' seems a lot.
But, the more I think about it, I guess your motor would be throwin down gobs of torque which I guess may cause your slipper to be screaming for mercy even though it's still set fairly tight.

Not to mention the fact that pads will be shot. I've never seen a melted spur but that to me would be the way to do it. Old news ~ if you need more than 2-3 feet of slipper, use less go finger or you're gonna wreck stuff.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I've been setting my slipper on pavement with stock tires. With this setting I'm getting about 6' on a blue groove track with SS Enduros.
Yes, this motor makes a boat load of power. I basically set the slipper as tight as I can without breaking the rear end loose at will on the track.
Use Punch Control to mellow it out especially if you're using lower gearing(9.5:1 or higher).

I'm using the V2 slipper and I have it set about 4 turns in from flush. With the V1 you're going to have to crank it and then just back off a hair.
