It comes with black grease, but I tell you what: after the diff had the issue where it needs to be shimmed, I cleaned out the black grease and put in 7000wt gear diff oil instead and WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

Hello! I've been trolling these forums for quite a while now and finally decided to join.

I thought I'd share a pic of my setup along with some details. I took this pic as soon as I got home from the track. I've been making a few adjustments lately and I feel I've got it pretty dialed right now. At least it's the best I've ever had it setup for my track which is mainly loose dirt with some hard packed clay sections.

Setup:
LRP Vector X11 Stock Spec 9.5t
LRP SPX Brushless Super Reverse esc
Pro-Line M2 Calibers (r) & Pro-Line M2 Bow-Ties (f)
FT V1 shocks
Red springs (r) & Gold springs (f)
40 wt (r) & 30 wt (f)
Battery rear setting
Stock setting pistons
STRC 1* hubs
3Racing Titanium turnbuckles & RPM ballcups
RPM front bumper/skid

I've recently moved my battery to the rear in search of more traction. This has worked wonders for me. With my current shock settings it handles great and jumps evenly without the nose up in the air. I've also went from a 8.5t to a 9.5t as the 8.5t is a bit overkill for my track.

Just wanted to share my setup with you guys since mine seems quite different from what a lot of ppl are running it seems. But, it works for me at my track

Go to 40wt up front and extend your rear turnbuckles in the hub.

Probably go softer in the rear spring. I run losi shocks but I think the ae red rear is super stiff. But I run a light spring in the rear.

Try out just the oil up front and then drive it. Then try the rear turnbuckles. Then try the rear spring.

Do one thing at a time and see if if helps or makes things worse.

Thanks for the advice Pimpin!

I'm gonna try my current settings for the race this Sat and see how I do.

I tried my current setup in practice today and loved it.....i've never had so much traction before with my SC10.

The main reason for the stiffer rear spring and heavier weight shock oil is to bring the rear end up in line with the front when jumping since I've got the battery in the rear. I was gonna stick with the green spring but with tons of pre-load. The red spring with basically no pre-load seems to work about the same for me.

Thats awesome.

I really have no clue about the ae shocks and springs and stuff. So I really couldn't give any helpful info on that.

But if you are loose exiting corners then definitly go thicker up front. I too run the 40wt on dry loose tracks.

What is the main effect of extending the turnbuckles to the outer position on the hub? I'm guessing it keeps the camber more in check when the suspension is compressed?

Willy, what surface is your track? m2 is pretty hard rubber

We run our sc10s softer than most. With batteries forward or almost forward

It's a pretty loose and dry surface. I actually have a pair of Caliber M3's on order.

Just gluing up some Caliber M3's and a pair of HB Megagrids in the pink compound. The Megagrids look quite interesting......kinda similiar to a Caliber as it has a dual stage pin but laid out in a different pattern.

Should be interesting to see how they compare tomorrow!

Truck's all fixed now. Has anybody else had an issue with the fitment of the RPM arms to the RPM bulkhead? Needed some filing there.

I like the Calibers on a dry, dusty track.

I ran my HB Megabites (pink) for the first time last night and they hooked up really well and seemed to have very good lateral traction.

My track is normally loose and dusty but it rained very lightly before the races started so the conditions were absolutely perfect.

The tires definitely handled better than my M2 Calibers........but I am comparing an M2 compound to pink which is HB's softest, so kinda an unfair comparison.
