Any thoughts/opinions about using the RPM arms & brace on a race truck? I just finished rebuilding my SC10 and put RPM arms (front & rear) with the RPM brace and it feels a lot heavier than before so I'm second guessing my decision.

I'm running the RPM front arms & brace with a 5000c LiPo and still had to add 2oz to make ROAR legal weight for stock. You should be fine

I've tried to keep up to date with this thread, but apologies if already been asked, but I have a question:

I've seen it mentioned on a number of forums about adding weight to the car, and with at the same time, the mention of chassis's breaking at the front, so has anybody considered the possibility of a aluminium chassis.
It certainly would be the best place for the weight to be, so why not?
I obviously haven't personally considered battery tray options and side guards, before anybody asks, as i'm new to the electric side of the hobby after being into nitro for many years, so not aware of what could be used.

I race my SC10 and the first thing i did was change to GT2 arm, never broke a single one. I let my daughter start racing it in spec SC and she went trough all my front arms and some more. It has RPM arms now and no more problems. They didn't slow her down at all and finishes all the races now.

I find the rpm arms to twist too much which is great for durability, but not so much for consistency. I run GT2 front arms/hubs/carriers and b44 rear hubs.

I have AE FT Arms and have not had any issues. I do drive it carefully and only race so that may be it. With Pro-line beadlock wheels I am at ROAR spec weight.

I did brake an arm when my model was configured as a T4. I hit the end of a tube at high speed near the hub. Broke the arm near the hub.

Love my SC10

Default SC10 Race Videos - Pro 3 Mod. Class Indoors Carpet

Here are 2 links to youtube videos of my SC10. Kit build, factory upgrades, super special set up for this track, mine is the white truck with red stripes. Tekin RS 13.5 motor, last video is "King of the Hill" where it runs top 3 from all classes, and it still finished first.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgXbDfhjOEc

Truck is dialed in, and almost perfect at this time.

I can post pictures if someone gives me information as to how to do it. Add a link? Photobucket?

Now THAT'S racing - no marshals. You screw up and you're done!

BEGIN RANT
I have been a long time Associated fan but I'm pretty disappointed that HPI has announced a "Factory Team" kit for the Blitz (with some pretty impressive looking parts) before Associated has. In the world of Short Course rc trucks AE hasn't been chasing a lot of tail lights in terms of innovation.
END RANT

The new SC10 isn't a kit. It comes with a 2.4 and looks like it is a RTR kit focus'd on being a better spec class racer.

I have a FT SC10!

Of course my FT T4 wasn't a FT anymore when I sold it.

It would be nice to see a FT SC10 from Associated.

That's my point. I love the SC10 but seeing as the Blitz is less than 6 months old and already has "Factory Team" kit and the older SC10 doesn't, it just hurts.

Hopefully the upgrades they are making with the new SC10 RTR is just the beginning of the AE new release announcements
