I have a brand new set of goosebumps I wud like to use(mounted on slash rims)....what about diff lube ? I ran 30000 in my slash an worked well...I installed 17.5 bl and wud like to run a pinion larger than 22 but won't fit....cut out the adjustment slots but motor hits the motor guard and won't allow for larger pinion....never owned a associated always been a losi guy....first looks I'm not very impressed with the SC10 but I will give it a chance...thanks for any help

All 1/10 off-road race vehicles have that "slop" you are referring to at full lock. It doesn't affect the car on the track; the steering bell cranks can only go so far and the turnbuckles allow the wheel to pivot a little extra at full lock once max. steering throw is reached. Just run it and you'll see what I mean .

Just search through all the various SC10 threads and you;ll find the info about installing Slash hexes. I know it's been done.

You can install the optional spur gear to achieve the gearing you want.

17.5 gearing should be 75/25-28. Ur kit should have came with the 75t spur.

Associated black grease works great in the tranny.

This conversion is going to be a little bit tricky you will have to be a little bit more creative on this one. I'm thinking you will need a sleeve since the associated front wheels have a smaller diameter shaft.

Well I went racing tonight. First encounter with a blitz. I will say this, they are going to be some serious competition for the SC10. He had a super hot motor in there that was way faster than me. I have a 7.5 so mine is not slow. He was running those stock tires and it had more traction than I have seen on a SC. It was pulling wheelies effortlessly he had so much traction. I think I want to try some on my sc10. I ended up 5th in the A main tonight. Not my best finish but my lap times were consistent so I cant complain too much...

Yo Reaper, what treads are you running on your SC10? What kind of track do you run it at?

I just got a set of Split Six-mounted Bowties and they feel much better then the stock...

My RTR didnt come with optional spur...think its only the kit version that does.

Wow, the kit actually had something that the RTR didn't? I felt so ripped off when the RTR came out for just $20 more.

I have ran bowties and am currently running goosebumps. Right now they are the best tire I have tried so far. I will be getting my hands on some of those Blitz tires though. I couldn't believe how they hooked up.

My gearing is 87/24, motor temp after like 15 min are at 140. I think I have my radio dialed back to 130 on my DX3S

I dont like the beadlock wheels too much. They weigh 2X what the Rulux do. And I was always popping a darn bead with those things. They would be good for a less powerfull motor

Last nights race I ended up getting 22 laps. Best ever on the track was 23. That darn HPI got 24. The truck doesnt seem any better but that traction made all the difference.
