Im running a stock & mod class...Mod is hooked up /goosebumps all the way around. now stock..Im dying...the Slash tires are just more of a all around tire,BUT do to rules I have to use my Stock Ae tire...any help would be appreciated

Try this. We have to use kit tires in our Stock class also. Running these on a hard packed, dusty, clay track and they hook up very well, both forward and side bite. Rear tires are the ones with the inside lug cut also.

I know what you are saying about cutting the U part alternatively in spacing, thanks for reminding me... I remember that back on page 60 something
The tracks I run are clay hard packed & sometimes blue grooved, depending how sunny & hot it gets. I boiled & reused my tires & foams, putting them on relux rims.. now they dont feel spongey at all...I think i F emd up. what foam would you recommend?

I cut mine like that when it came up and ended up running Slash tires. I didn't really notice a difference at hot rod. I don't know how to categorize the dirt, maybe sandy clay? I haven't gone to any real clay tracks and run them, we can run any tire made for an SC truck so it's unlikely they will see the light of day anytime soon.

WOW! that thing looks sick!

Ever thought of throwing some skulls in the trail lights on one of those bodies?

On another note, Matt Gilberts truck was on rails the other night! No one else was able to carry the corner speed that his truck can and that was on the Bow ties.

pobably the losi shocks and brand new transmission.... Truck is set up soooo well.

Matt should post his setup... I'm using his shock positions and tire choice, actually using his front tires....

I really love those JC Dare body. I've been eyeing it recently. Probably will jump on those bodies as soon as my stock ones becomes cracked beyond repair...

Jim, your work is one of the finest I've seen. I've seen your work on various bodies in various forums... Freaking sweet!!!

Matt Gilberts truck is also legit, posting up times that beat some of the Super Stock buggy times.

I talked matt into making a pdf of his open class sc10 setup.

PS, wayboarder, he thinks your stalking him....:blush::confused:

Oh, I just dont think he puts wayboarder name with who I am at OCRC. Lets just say I had to put my hands on his truck a number of times on wednesday night....

lol

yea no idea. haha. (yea all 10 guys on the track at the same time was hell trying to get around people clean)

i thought that other guy was talking about me too but it was some other Matt.

i decided to convert AE's setup sheet into a PDF that actually will look nice, making the fields so you can type them in and save them into your computers instead of keeping a bunch of paper setup sheets.
its easy, just time consuming....i gotta hit the sack so i can take care of the stuff for the biz in the morning and be able to get out to ocrc befor the traffic starts to hit.

ill post up my setup in detail very soon. im guessing monday ish.

z50king 10-16-2009 01:07 AM

matt just sent me the pdf of his set up sheet. oh its so good
