You shouldn't be able to find the 2.2 / 2.2 one new in a package anymore, it was a while ago and they got bought out pretty quick. I've only seen them on a Slash that I just got some goosebumps for my SC10 and the biggest difference it made was making it illegible for the local box-stock class. Time to get some AE tires as well...
Though by changing the tires, it wouldnt be box stock class. The differnt tires are a huge difference and those with stock tires, would be at a great disadvantage.

I just bought the SMC lightning volts hard cased lipo, 5200 mah 24c, and the wires come out on the upper left side. The battery was a little tall but I adjusted the mounts for the battery tie down and for the fastners and it fits in there perfectly. The wires do touch the battery hold down, but it does not rub, because the battery does not move, it is very secure.

If your worried about it rubbing or being to tight, take a file or dremmel and notch the brace.

They are good for bashing, as long as you stay off pavement. Pavement will chew up any tire rather quickly. Your stockers will be good for pavement though.

Proline makes a Switch tire in 2.2 Its an SC tire and I am currently using on a 10t and T4. They wear well and not excessivly on pavemnt, They are one of the better all around basher type tires that I have owned.

If you can find them in 2.2/3.0 size, as the sc rims are, they will be a direct fit. Other wise you will need 2.2 rims.

The only 2.2 rim that I am aware of that will fit the back and have the proper off set is the rear wheels from the J82, though I am sure there are others out there.

I have several lipo packs that I run in my SC10 according to what I'm doing. If were just playing around on the track to kill time, I run my PolyQuest 2S 25C 6000 MAh pack. I get great run time from it, but I had to lose the stock battery strap(no biggy, just made my own)to run it do to it's length. For heat racing I have a few FlightMax 2S 25C 4000 mAh Hard packs and for mains, I have a couple FlightMax 2S 20C 5000 Mah packs for the mains. All of they fit w/o much issue and w/ the stock battery strap removed, I can move the battery forward and back in the tray to help w/ handling.

Sounds good to me. Thanks for the part #'s. I plan on getting the split 6's also but in due time. The lhs only had ae ones and i wanted to put it on the track quicker than 5 to 7 days waiting for the mail.

It really helps plant the rear end, but the front floats a bit to much for my liking. I run it centered in the tray. Seems to be a little more neutral IMO.

i ended up ditching the battery strap and put on some velcro instead. allowes you to move the battery around easier. so far after a couple races i've found that having it centered like Crawler said works the best so far.

anyone have any experience with the Pro-line split six wheels? do they hold the tire in there or do they pop out easily?

I have the novak gtb in mine, I think they are the same sixe. It fits in the chassis fine, I don't think you will have a problem.
