yeah thats right. just keep an eye out. if u have a battery voltage tester to see each battery and see if there is any drop of voltage in any of the cells

Well I finally received a good portion of my parts and electronics to continue my RC8T-E conversion.
Need to figure out where to mount the ESC and receiver. I think that I am gonna make a carbon fiber platform next to the steering servo that runs around to the center diff area and mount the ESC and receiver there. I want to keep them as low as possible and keep them on the servo side to add better left/right balance. Thoughts/Comments/Suggestions? |

That looks really good, I like the balance with the batteries. I know I am running a MMM in my RC8B conversion and from your pictures there is no way my ESC would fit next to the servo. But if you can make it work with your ESC thats sweet, I will look forward to seeing your pictures of it completed.

so why not use the AE recvr/servo box?
Anyone have any dimensions of the inside of that box? |

I was looking into that as well. Is there enough room in that box to mount the ESC and the receiver? I would probably modify the cover as necessary.

What kind of connectors are people running for the battery/ESC connection for 4s? I currently have Traxxas connectors on my batteries but I want to swap them to the ultra deans plugs since they are smaller and easier to solder multiple wires to the leads. Will the Deans plugs get too hot?
Any suggestions? |
Deans will be fine. I run Deans on my truggy on 4s which is a lot heavier than the current breed of truggies.

I'm trying to get into electric truggies because this class has gotten huge at my local track since we went outdoors. Problem is, I'm on a budget (spend too much on my 10th scale), so I'm looking to get a used one. I really want a Factory team truck that has been converted & I finally found one on ebay.
I am currently the high bidder, but I am having second thoughts about how high I want to go? I really wanted to go with a Tekin motor & speed control, running 6S with a 1350, but this truck includes a Mamba Monster with a Castle 2200kv. There are a few guys at my local track that run 2000kv on 4S, but hey seem to have alot more heat / run time issues than the lower kv / 6S setups? So I'm wondering - is a 2200kv too much? Seems like a buggy motor to me, but I'm pretty new to 8th scale stuff? If I could get away running this motor until I can get what I want, what pack would be a good match? Oh yea, I need to be able to make a 15 minute main:nod: |

Are you guys running 2 4S 5000 packs, or 2 2S 5000 packs?
As Long as I'm talking batery packs - would 2 2S 6000 packs be equal to 1 4S 6000, or does one have an advantage over the other? |
