Question:

I was running my truck today and for some unknown reason my rx8 would cut out and would lose all power. I noticed all the led's were blinking. The esc was only around 123 deg.

Any suggestions?

ALL LED's flashing is Loss of radio signal. Power up the Unit without the radio on and ALL lights will flash, Asking for a Signal.

What servo and radio system are you running ?

hmm I didn't check my radio for the voltage, maybe I was low.

Savox servo with Airtronics m11x,

the problem started happening at the end of the day so I'm thinking my radio batteries must of been going dead or something.

truck was running soo good I would have stayed there all night LOL

ESC's more than likely just fine. Your Tx must have shut down the RX due to low voltage. Air Rx's are normally pretty good at keeping a servo/ESC port fed with juice.... Unlike Spektrum

OK cool that's a relief. I haven't used my equipment in about 2 weeks so the lipo must have lost some charge. It was weird cause power would cut on/off. Glad this isn't anything major.

Thanks

maybe the voltage was to low and the esc shut it down? Check and see what voltage the lipo has

Chances are great it's not the RX8 there close to bulletproof!! Cover all the simple bases and rule out the east ones like TX batteries before you move on to diagnosing the ESC.

Well my transmitter was down to 7 volts, so maybe there is something that is a fail safe with Airtronics with their tx and rx. I misplace my manual so I can't verify. Anyway it's up to 8.8 volts now so I shouldn't have a problem.

I won't be able to test it out today to verify though but I'm sure that's it.

What drag brake settings do you guys use? I have a problem where my truck usually likes to stay nose up on jumps. My brakes are set high so I when I hit the brake in the air the truck overrotates.

I was wondering if anybody here knows why most of Tekins brushless systems for 1/8 scale is on backorder. I have a RX8 on order and it seems to be taken a long time for Tower Hobbies stock to come in. I have check many stores and online stores and again backorder.

Thanks.

Need some help. Just got my esc back from tekin have maybe ran it 5 times and it was working great. i ran threw a battery and shut the car off to let the motor coll before going out agian eveything was maybe 110 at the most. I plugged the battery in it has no throttle and steering the lights on the esc are barley lit. It worked fine when before i shut it off. I have also just removed the on/off switch to make sure that was not the problem.

Thanks,
Kenny

Tekin has said that world wide, 4wd SCT and 1/8th is taking off by leaps and bounds. Demand is greatly outstripping supply.

Hopefully the RSX will come out shortly and be the 'thing' for 4wd SCT and take the pressure off of 1/8th electronics and stabilize things somewhat.

A Main just got stock. I ordered Two systems. They probably won't last long.

This may sound excessive but... i went through my T8 2000kv truggy motor and did a thorough 'rebuild'.

Im one to use M1 0w30 synthetic on all flushed bearings. Anyone suggest against this for these motors? It ran flawless again today with gobs of rip on tap...
