Do all the leds on the rx8 light up and then flash when you grab full brake on the radio?

You should be able to brake hard enough to snap stuff at some point.

The guys are right, on full brake application do all led's light up and flash?

you're using motor brakes right?

Yes using motor brakes its stops slightly the leds light up on the RX8 not from 1-6 it starts from the middle light to last on full brake.

I reloaded software again but nothing changes using forward and brake only no reverse. I was have a hard to sycning the brake on setup it took awhile but it finally took.

I can vouch for that, using motor brakes on my D8Te will snap the front center CVD pins on a regular basis if I have the brake setting too high. At the same time, it wont hold position if I am on a downslope waiting for a race to start. I think that is just the nature of a brushless motor though, they rely on the rotor to be turning to generate the braking force.

Brushless motors cannot make brake force unless they're spinning. Hence the phenomenon you're speaking of.

OK, I'd bet you're not getting the brakes calibrated correctly. Do this. Make sure your throttle is reversed. Redo the radio cal. Once done when you hit full brakes all led's should be lit AND Flashing. IF not you didn't get a good cal.

Ok will try again what would cause the long wait on the brake calibration the neutral and throttle cal takes super fast but the brake portion isnt the same.

Default Issue with RX8...

I am having an issue with my RX8 in my SCT with a 4 pole motor or any motor at that point.

When I start to roll up on the throttle I get a dead band where the motor stutters or completely stops then it will go to full throttle once the trigger gets there on the radio sometimes. Other times it will just stop running. If I do get it to keep rotating the motor the motor stutters at full throttle and heats up very quickly. Keep in mind this happens with any motor installed and I have tested 5 motors to confirm it is not a motor issue.

The lights on the esc will act normal as throttle is ramping up but when the motor stutters the esc will blink the last three leds together which is an out of range error. Keep in mind I have been using esc for the past 6 months with no issues.

I have already done the following...

Tested other motors
Recal. to radio and verified endpoints are correct and rev is set correclty.
Re-updated 212 software and then recal radio.

Thinking it may be time to send in for repair.

let me know your thoughts.

Thanks
